I was at the Stadium Today to Support the Team
My neighborhood team, Sariyer, was playing a match today. Because our stadium's lighting system wasn't ready, the match, which was scheduled for nighttime, was played during the day.
Since it was a weekday, it was a bit difficult for the fans to get to the match. Therefore, the club management distributed free match tickets.
We faced Vanspor, one of the strongest teams in the Turkish First League. The opposing team's fans had filled the opposition stands to capacity.
My team, Sariyer, received two red cards in the match. The referee disallowed one goal for offside. There were many controversial situations in the match. Despite the referee supporting the opposing team, we won the match 2-1.
I watched a historic match today. I was both proud and happy for my team. They fought very well.
With this victory, my team climbed above the relegation zone. The team has regained its composure. Better days are ahead.
