What I don't like is that if you don't pay attention you will always end up buying milk, yoghurt, juice, cereales, and even sausage with lots of added sugar. Also the quality of (often processed) cheese and (often fat) meat can be rather low.
But if you select carefully and are ready to spend a little bit more it is possible to find really good food in the Philippines.
