Visiting Moalboal- BASDAKU white sand beach.
Hello, fellow Hivers! Welcome once again to my blog. Thank you for always supporting my stories. Hoping you will enjoy reading this one.
The month of February was a very stressful month for both of us my husband. As I shared in my previous stories lots of unexpected emotions troubled us. So we decided to take a break.
We traveled going to Moalboal by car for about two and a half hours from our town City of Naga. Along with us were my sister and our driver's family. We brought them with us to spend a short vacation also.
It was approximately 160 kilometers, to reach the place. A night before we travel we have to book first a place to stay. We booked at Sadagnot room rentals. A cheap kind of room is good for five adults and two kids. We just paid 2400 pesos. Not so bad for it was just a fan room with your kitchen and restroom.
When you arrive at Moalboal you should get a permit to stay at the tourism center and pay only ten pesos per person. After getting our permits we head directly to the beach. The kids were very excited and also all of us. When we reach the BasDaku checkpoint we have to pay an environmental fee of twenty-five pesos for each person another 10 pesos for each person when we reach the beach and a parking fee of thirty pesos.
The lady who was in charge of our room received us and accompanied us to our simple rooms. (We are on a tight budget) When we arrived there were lots of people sunbathing on the sand and they were all Caucasians. We took a short rest before going to the beach though our room was in the beachfront. We all get tired of the long drive.
Before the sunset, we have a tour on the beach. We set our feet on the white sand and walked around the place, you never want to wear your slippers for they will buried in the sand. There are still a lot of people enjoying the view facing Negros Island. The waters are crystal clear where you can see some corals and stones.
The place is perfect to relax and unwind from the storms of life. In this area, you can see a lot of restaurants and cafes. A lot of locals were selling products to the visitors. We decided not to take a swim this time for we were about to prepare our dinner.
We cooked and bought fresh seafood already before going to the beach. So We cooked tinolang isda, grilled fish, and grilled pork. Then we ate our dinner early because we were planning to have a night swimming. By the time we were done, it was dark already but we still had our swimming. The place was no longer busy cause only a few visitors were having an overnight stay.
We took a plunge into dark water for there were no lights but the moon only. We can still remember this was the place where we celebrated our honeymoon thirteen years ago.
We stayed on the cold water for over an hour with some of the overnight stayers. We enjoyed the silence where only our voices were heard. We let our bodies lay on the sand and feel the stones like we were in a massage. We had a very good sleep that night.
Early in the morning the next day we woke up very early. My sister Shiela grabbed her phone and tried to capture the sunrise. She was disappointed there was no sunrise, so all she did was take moments and pose a lot. Then I came and took more shots of the place where only a few of us are there. The turquoise color of the water bids me to swim again, so clear and so tempting.
The kids who were with us take a swim again as the sun rises. People are coming out from their rented rooms and welcome the heat of the sun. But as for me, it was all enough. We prepare our breakfast, take a sip of coffee, and relax while waiting for our check out that day.
BASDSKU is one of the most beautiful beaches in South Cebu that you can visit if you want to relax and bond with your family and friends. You can choose what you want from high-class accommodation to a simple yet clean rooms, from expensive restaurants to small carinderias that can manage your pockets. And an amazing sardines and sea turtles watching add to your bucket list.
We were indeed relaxed and renewed during our stay. It helps a lot for every one of us.
I hope you enjoy reading my beaching together with my loved ones. I hope you can visit also BASDAKU someday.
