This is how we spent our Christmas this year. I hope you will enjoy reading my blog today.
We had prepared a wedding event for a month, it was the first time the church would hold such a ceremony since the church was new. Two people decided to exchange vows in front of both families.

The Principal Sponsor

As the day is approaching we become busier every day, listing and checking all the things that need to be done. From entourage, invitations, giveaways, food, decoration, and of course the Minister. This is just a simple wedding since they have already lived for almost six years.

The Arch

They wanted a blessing from God and to get right with God. It was Christmas Eve when we set up everything for tomorrow's big event.
We prepared the reception area and all decorations outside the church. I need not worry inside the church since I contacted a florist to decorate. It was late in the evening that the florist called me that she was very busy attending to her customers that day and canceled arranging flowers in the church. I have nothing to do with it even if I get angry.

Preparing the Arch

So I get all the flowers and arrange them one by one from the aisle to the arch. I just focused on what I was doing rather than on what happened. I just burst myself on arranging the flowers and see to it that I did my best. The most challenging part was when I was doing the arch. It turned out after ten o'clock that I finished everything. If you are asking where are the people who helped us, we'll they have already gone home to celebrate Christmas with their families.

The Bride

It is me and my husband who are left alone. After a tiring night, we just slept and woke up very early for the big day.

The bride and groom arrived bringing the food they cooked in their house, and as everyone was preparing the minister came very early but we started late since the groom went home to get something and came back late. It was a solemn ceremony where everyone was so excited and gave thrills to the audience. And of course, we were one of the Principal sponsors.

Exchange of vows

As the singers were singing and vows were exchanged our young people kept on listening as the minister gave biblical ways of marriage. As we kept on listening we did not notice that the minister pronounced them husband and wife then the big words followed with "You may now kiss the bride" A shout of gladness was heard all over the place.

So excited

After the ceremony, there was picture taking as we always did every after the wedding. Then we proceed to the reception and take our lunch. It rained during our lunch but it could not stop everyone from eating. We had our short programs like cake slicing, bouquet toss, and first dance as a couple with money pinned in their traje de Buda.

The newlywed gave their messages to everyone and after everything was done and all the visitors went home we had to clean the area. I thank God everyone was there to help.

The event won't be successful without everybody's help. It was an honor to be part of the two people showing commitment to love and cherish one another. It was a big blessing that we received this Christmas.

Congratulations to the newly wed. Observing wedding celebrations like this is also a perfect time to reminisce the day we exchanged vows no matter how long we are married and regardless of how old we are.
