I wonder how beautiful it is to visit places around us. I'll share with you how we do it.

It was on weekdays that we visited a friend's family. My husband had a twenty days vacation leave and we made sure to spend it traveling.

First stop at Linut-od Argao and have some lunch with our driver's family. I cooked vegetable stew for everyone since there was no available native chicken to be slaughtered. Before we reached their house we passed by on the three hundred years old Balite tree.

When we got out of the car and looked at the tree I felt a little creepy especially when the cold breeze touched my skin. We parked at the side and went down to the flowing spring water. These two young men went swimming in a big pool. As I came to see and washed my hands the water was so cold like an iced bath. The water came from an old tree and many people came to the place to bathe and wash their clothes.

After a short time talking, we headed directly to the house and ate our lunch. We had a little chit-chat and went to the wife's house to harvest some vegetables. When we arrived I jumped from the car and headed directly to the Chayote vines. The vine was so wide and you had to go under to get the fruits. I was amazed by the big fruits hanging anywhere. I searched for the big ones and picked them. My eyes were so dazzled in choosing which one to pick that my hand could not hold a lot.

They were laughing at me, what are my reactions? It was my first time picking so many Chayotes. Then we came to see their gardens full of newly grown Brocolis, they have also big vines of sponge gourd(patola) and a lot of wet fertilizers. The family gave us a lot of veggies, squash, sweet potato, and onion leaks which I forgot to take pictures of due to so much excitement.

We did not spend so much time we headed to where all their products dropped off. We bought cauliflower which only cost forty pesos per kilo and cucumber for only twenty pesos per kilo. There are also reddish, peppers and tomatoes. The place has so many vegetables to grow for it has high altitude and cold surroundings. They were situated near Mantalongon Dalaguete which was a vegetable highway.

We travel for almost two hours from Argao Provincial Road connecting Ronda Cebu. When we reach Ronda we travel to Moalboal and spend a night there. The next day we decided to travel around south before going home. We make sure that we have enough gas for the trip. We started our trip at around nine in the morning. We buy our lunch first at Jollibee and some snacks before traveling.

During our trip, we took pictures of some towns we passed by, then we stopped at the town of Santander to witness the trending black tip sharks just beside the National Highway. When we reached there some people were watching. There were more than a hundred of them roaming around the protected area. They are already big adult sizes maybe twenty to thirty kilos. The area was very protected and there were signages around. They are not allowed to be fed or throw stones on them.

Just a little further we parked our car and had our lunch since it was noon already. I took pictures around us and included this beautiful house along the highway. Then we headed to our last stop at Obong Spring Dalaguete. I have toured you already in this place on my previous blog. This time there were a lot of people who came to swim in the cold water where the sea and spring meet.
We had our snacks and spent two hours in the water swimming and enjoying the coldness that resonated into our bones.

We arrived home by 5:00 pm and were very tired of the whole day's travel, yet it was an unforgettable experience for all of us. We had our sound sleep and rest that night ready for tomorrow's next adventure.

That would be all for today fellow Hivers, may you enjoy reading my story. Could you support me by re-blogging and upvoting my story? Have a great day ahead, and see you on my next adventure.

Hi, thanks for sharing your wonderful trip! How do we get to the old Balete tree from Minglanilla? I dig sites like this

These made me reminisce those times when we harvest chayotes with my grandma at Patong, Badian Cebu. Back then, we used to shed under the chayotes during rainy days.
