A Visit to Baghdarah Nature Park : Habitate of Crocodiles π
This place is just 15 Km from my residence, and I am living here from more than 40 years but unfortunately never visited this beautiful place before. This is a home to more than 150 Crocodiles. It is really amazing to visit such an exciting place with family.
Entrance of Nature park
When we reached the entrance, there was an entry ticket for just INR 20 (USD0.25) per person and INR 130(USD 1.6) for Car. Entrance for kids was free! It is about 2.5 Km from the entrance.
At the destination there was a small lake and that is the habitat of crocodile. The surrounding area was lush green, due to rainy season. Other than crocodile, other various wild animals like leopard etc also live there. But it is not easy to spot all wild animal in short period of time.
With my son
We were already informed that in this season it is difficult to spot crocodile as water level of lake is high ad they generally come out in winter when water level goes down. In the winter, crocodiles come outside to bask in the sun. But still I was hopeful that we will be able to have a glimpse of crocodiles.
Despite more than 150 crocodiles in the lake, at the first glance there was no sign of any crocodiles. But all of a sudden my son called me, he saw a crocodile in the water. Thankfully, I had 400 mm lens so able to capture the glance of a crocodile. But it was really exciting to see any crocodile in its natural habitat.
We could only have a glance of crocodile
Now it was time to explore the area. At some distance there was a camping site. Tourist can come and stay in the lap of nature.
More detail about camping site is here π - Dera Baghdara Inside this link you can find real picture of crocodiles also.

As I had 400mm birding lens with my camera so was in search of some birds to capture and succeed to capture some birds and butterfly.π

When my wife saw a wild fruit, she asked me to pluck for her, as she wanted to taste that. It was a little challenging for me as it was not approachable. But I accepted the challenge and plucked one for her. Like this π

Here is the fruit π

The fruit was not tasty, but the challenge to pluck the fruit was entertaining ad fun for all of us.
Finally, we took our lunch, which we carried with us.π
Taking lunch
After lunch, we explored the place more and clicked some photos, which I am sharing below.
As the place is very near to our residence, so it was a very short trip, and we came back home within 5 hours.
Wow, and your back is against the waters? Aren't you afraid, or is there and safeguard in case of an attack? I hate any environment where such creature resides no matter how protected the place might be π lol. Good images anyway
Yes, it could be dangerous to stand like that :-)
