Qué delicia es e el caño verde de los llanos venezolanos! ya tambien aterrador despues de ver los que pescamos para nuestra cena es aterrador de solo pensarlo y vivirlo en carne propia Estábamos navegando en una piragua o bote sobre este rio que tiene por nombre caño verde por sus aguas completamente verdes oscuras , rodeados de una exuberante vegetación verde de flora y fauna muy salvaje e indomable como son los llanos venezolanos , cuando de repente vimos a las babas se dejan ver y navegar junto a nosotros muy cerca estaban al acecho de que alguien se cayera o se metiera en estas aguas llenas de peces y especies que te devoran en un minuto , las primas del caiman del Orinoco que por cierto tambien andaba por estos lados al asecho tambien de nosotros , nadando tranquilamente en el agua. Fue como si nos hubieran estado esperando para mostrarles su hogar y el habitat ya que al vernos se fue directamente hacia otro lugar lejos

.What a delight is the green river of the Venezuelan plains! We were sailing in a canoe or boat on this river that is called caño verde because of its completely dark green waters, surrounded by lush green vegetation of flora and fauna very wild and untamed as are the Venezuelan plains, When all of a sudden we saw the “babas”, the “babas”, the cousins of the Orinoco caiman, which by the way was also lurking around these parts, swimming calmly in the water, they were waiting for us to fall or get into these waters full of fish and species that devour you in a minute. It was as if they had been waiting for us to show them their home and habitat because when they saw us, they went directly to another place far away, thanks again for the collaboration and support.

Mientras avanzábamos, observamos a los pájaros volando por encima de nosotros aqui como me comentaba hace dias son miles son muchas la especies que habitan estas llanuras y vuelan por todos los rincon sy lugares del llano adentro , sus cantos melodiosos llenaban el aire desde bien temprano en la mañana hasta que oscurece estan activas desde tempranito . El sol brillaba con intensidad y nos regalo un hermoso amanecer brutal , iluminando la escena con una luz cálida y acogedora del inicio del dia para navegar estas aguas ya para mi tenebrosas . De repente, escuchamos un extraño ruido en el fondo del caño y nos asombramos todos ya que no estamos acostumbrados a estos tipos de ruidos . Al principio pensamos que era un pez y no no era un pez venia de otro lugar que no distinguimos , pero pronto nos dimos cuenta de que era algo mucho más grande y sabroso para quienes los hemos comido en alguna oportunidad .

As we moved forward, we watched the birds flying above us here as I commented days ago are thousands are many species that inhabit these plains and fly through every corner and places of the plain inside, their melodious songs filled the air from early in the morning until dark are active from early. The sun shone brightly and gave us a beautiful brutal sunrise, illuminating the scene with a warm and welcoming light of the beginning of the day to navigate these waters already for me dark. Suddenly, we heard a strange noise at the bottom of the channel and we were all amazed as we are not used to these types of noises. At first we thought it was a fish and no it was not a fish coming from another place that we did not distinguish, but soon we realized that it was something much bigger and tastier for those of us who have eaten them at some point.

Emergió de la sabana junto a su pareja y se asomaron a la parte donde nosotros ibamos del caño un chigüire, con su columna vertebral móvil y su mirada curiosa los dos se nos quedaron viendo mientras nosotros seguíamos navegando por el rio . Parecía estar explorando el lugar o a nosotros ya que aqui la presa somos nosotros siempre , como si estuviera descubriendo un mundo nuevo muchos aquí presentes en este llano hermoso . Nosotros nos quedamos impresionados con su presencia si realmente me impresiono verlo aunque ya tenia muchos dias aqui ambientandome y conociendo el lugar , sabiendo que en el mundo salvaje hay criaturas que aún no hemos visto ni comprendido nada aun no somos nada ni sabemos nada aun de la vida silvestre de tierra humana

Emerged from the savannah with his partner and peered into the part where we were going to the pipe a chigüire, with its mobile spine and curious look the two were watching us while we continued sailing down the river. It seemed to be exploring the place or us, since we are always the prey here, as if it was discovering a new world, many of them here in this beautiful plain. We were impressed with his presence if I was really impressed to see him even though I had already many days here setting and knowing the place , knowing that in the wild world there are creatures that we have not yet seen or understand anything even we are nothing and know nothing yet of the wildlife of human land .

La piragua se movía con suavidad sobre el agua mientras nosotros muy alertas y atentos a lo pudieramos ver en el lugar para documentarlo bien , dejando una estela detrás de nosotros de agua espumada por los motores . De repente, escuchamos una voz suave y melodiosa y nosotros con mucho asombro volteamos a ver quien . Era la de nuestra guía, quien nos estaba contando historias sobre el caño y sus habitantes y del silbón juan hilario entre miles de leyendas llaneras que de niños nos contaban nuestros padre o tios . Su voz era como una suave brisa que nos hacía sentirnos más cómodos en ese entorno exótico y asi fue durante toda esta travesia de varios dias entre el llano su gente y los animales del rio .

The canoe moved smoothly over the water while we were very alert and attentive to what we could see on the spot to document it well, leaving a trail behind us of water foamed by the engines. Suddenly, we heard a soft and melodious voice and we turned to see who it was. It was our guide, who was telling us stories about the river and its inhabitants and about the whistle juan hilario among thousands of llaneras legends that our father and uncles used to tell us when we were children. His voice was like a soft breeze that made us feel more comfortable in this exotic environment and so it was throughout this journey of several days between the plains, its people and the animals of the river.

Mientras avanzamos, vimos algunas piraguas más como es de costumbre en el llano y en venezuela saludar a la gente como si los conocieramos de toda la vida , con gente que parecía estar disfrutando de un día de pesca y en eso justamente estaba pensando en su dia de faena . Pero nosotros no estábamos allí para pescar. Estábamos allí para experimentar la aventura de la naturaleza extrema del caño verde de los llanos venezolanos para explorar cada rincon conocido hasta el momento , para sentirnos conectados con el mundo que nos rodea todo lo verde y natural te motiva a ir por mas aventuras y aprovechar cada monitos vivio en ese lugar como me dijeron hace minutos . Y eso es exactamente lo que estábamos viviendo en ese momento justo y oportuno de la gran aventura que esta casi llegando a su final.

As we advanced, we saw some more piraguas, as is customary in the plains and in Venezuela, greeting people as if we had known them all our lives, with people who seemed to be enjoying a day of fishing and that is exactly what they were thinking about their day of work. But we were not there to fish. We were there to experience the adventure of the extreme nature of the green canyon of the Venezuelan plains, to explore every corner known so far, to feel connected with the world around us, everything green and natural motivates you to go for more adventures and take advantage of every little monkey that lived in that place as I was told minutes ago. And that is exactly what we were living in that right and opportune moment of the great adventure that is almost coming to an end.

La piragua siguió su camino, llevándonos a través de un laberinto de canales y marismas del mismo rio como se ve desde el dron y tambien las cantidades de especies que habitan aqui . El sol comenzaba a ponerse ya era hora de ir regresando a nuestros aposentos , pintando el cielo de colores rosados y anaranjados del llano venezolano . Era un momento mágico, e inolvidables de esta aventura por los llanos de apure

The canoe continued on its way, taking us through a labyrinth of canals and marshes of the same river as seen from the drone and also the quantities of species that live here. The sun began to set and it was time to go back to our rooms, painting the sky with pink and orange colors of the Venezuelan plains. It was a magical and unforgettable moment of this adventure through the plains of Apure.

Finalmente, después de horas de navegar ya teniamos hambre y nos tenian muchas sorpresas de comida al llegar , llegamos a un punto donde la piragua tuvo que detenerse ya que no tenia mas camino para nosotros . El caño se estrechaba, y la piragua no podía seguir adelante asi que . Miramos atrás, viendo la magnificencia del caño verde desde las alturas nuevamente con el dron , con sus árboles, sus animales y su riqueza natural. Sabíamos que en ese momento, estábamos viviendo algo especial muy especial en mi corazon y con mis acompañantes tambien l, algo que nunca olvidaríamos jamas en la vida o por lo menos yo sere asi una gran experiencia y vivencia mas lo aprendido aqui muchas cosas gratas y muy buenas para el pasar de los años .

Finally, after hours of sailing we were already hungry and we had many surprises of food when we arrived, we reached a point where the canoe had to stop because there was no more way for us. The channel was narrowing, and the canoe could not go on, so we had to stop. We looked back, seeing the magnificence of the green canyon from the heights again with the drone, with its trees, its animals and its natural wealth. We knew that at that moment, we were living something very special in my heart and with my companions too, something that we would never forget ever in life or at least I will be like that a great experience and experience plus what we learned here many pleasant and very good things for the passing of the years.

Así terminó nuestra aventura en el caño verde de los llanos venezolanos del estado apure mas al sur en donde las inundaciones no llegan . Fue un viaje que nos llevó a un mundo lleno de belleza despues de todas esas fotos increibles que he vivido en estos dias aqui es indescriptible este sentimiento , diversidad y aventura extrema de un viaje salvaje e indomable . Un viaje que nos recordó que, en la naturaleza, siempre hay algo más allá de lo que vemos a simple vista y que siempre estemos dispuestos a aprender de la naturaleza ella es nuestra gran universidad de la vida ella sin nosotros no vive y nostros sin ella tampoco asi que acuidar de la naturaleza no la destruyas cuida de tu medio ambiente n lo contamines .

So ended our adventure in the green canyon of the Venezuelan plains of the southernmost state of Apure where the floods do not reach. It was a trip that took us to a world full of beauty after all these incredible photos that I have lived in these days here is indescribable this feeling, diversity and extreme adventure of a wild and untamed journey. A trip that reminded us that, in nature, there is always something beyond what we see with the naked eye and that we are always willing to learn from nature, she is our great university of life, she does not live without us and we do not live without her either, so take care of nature, do not destroy it, take care of your environment, do not pollute it.
