El clima fresco y húmedo de la vía hacia La Colonia Tovar, Venezuela, contrasta con las primeras impresiones de palmeras que se extienden alrededor del camino de subida por el Parque Nacional Henry Pittier en el estado Aragua. The cool and humid climate of the road to La Colonia Tovar, Venezuela, contrasts with the first impressions of palm trees that stretch around the road uphill through the Henry Pittier National Park in Aragua State. This same park, whose mountains are home to dry coastal beach landscapes, is adorned by pine trees, traditional German-style houses, strawberry and peach orchards as we enter La Colonia Tovar.

En nuestra primera parada, recorrimos el museo de historia de La Colonia Tovar y nos encontramos con objetos del siglo XIX, historia y datos acerca de los fundadores y su travesía marítima, descubrimientos del paleolítico, pintura, artesanías y armamentos.
On our first stop, we toured the history museum of La Colonia Tovar and found objects from the 19th century, history and facts about the founders and their sea voyage, paleolithic discoveries, paintings, handicrafts and armaments.
En la entrada del museo se encuentran la contrata realizada entre el general Agustín Codazzi y los sores de la iglesia que intervinieron para la llegada de los migrantes. Esta contrata, redactada en español y alemán, se encuentra en la parte superior de la imagen. En la esquina inferior derecha, el puerto de Le Havre (Francia), desde donde embarcaron los migrantes alemanes y franceses. En la esquina inferior izquierda, encontramos retratada en el centro a Josepha Rudmann, quien vivió la migración a la edad de 9 años y relató el incendio ocurrido en la cubierta baja de la Fragata Clemence.
At the entrance to the museum is the contract drawn up between General Agustin Codazzi and the church priests who intervened in the arrival of the migrants. In the image below to the left is the space where some belongings of Baroness Elizabeth Von Kehler rest and as the museum statement says "born in Hamburg on November 5, 1874. She arrived at La Colonia Tovar when she was 56 years old and dedicated her time to teach the young people to elaborate the typical costumes and desserts of Germany".
