On the 12th of this month my dog gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies, 3 males and 2 females, it was a very nice experience and a bit distressing and full of stress, actually a lot of mixed feelings.

El 12 de este mes mi perrita dio a luz a 5 cachorritos hermosos, 3 machos y 2 hembras, fue una experiencia muy linda y un poco angustiante y llena de estrés, en realidad muchos sentimientos encontrados.

Well, My dog Negra had her first puppies in 2020 and due to some life situations we couldn't keep any puppies. She became jealous in June and we took the opportunity to look for a dog to mount her. She is 8 years old, so it was our last chance, we asked the vet and he said it was risky but as she has always been healthy we could do it.

A friend of my mom's had told us that she had 3 male dogs and we contacted her immediately, one day the three dogs came to the house and we had to make a decision: Which one would be Negra´s beau? And in the end we decided that it would be Baby, a beautiful white poddle dog with straight hair. That day Baby rode her 3 times and stayed sleeping in our house and we took the opportunity to take some pictures.

Bueno, Mi perrita Negra tuvo sus primeras crías en el 2020 y por algunas situaciones de la vida no nos pudimos quedar con ningún cachorro. La negra entró en celos en junio y nosotros aprovechamos de buscar un perro para que la montara. La negra tiene 8 años, por eso era nuestra última oportunidad, le preguntamos al veterinario y dijo que era riesgoso pero como la negra siempre ha sido sana podíamos hacerlo.

Una amiga de mi mamá nos había comentado que tenía 3 perros varones y a ella la contactamos de inmediato, un día llegaron los tres perros a la casa y tuvimos que tomar una decisión ¿Cual sería el galán de la negra? Y al final decidimos que sería Baby, un hermoso perro poddle blanco con el pelo liso. Ese día Baby la montó 3 veces y se quedó durmiendo en nuestra casa y aprovechamos para tomarnos algunas fotos.

Ten days after they had mounted my dog she started to bleed which worried us a lot, we investigated if it was normal and in most cases it said yes, but we did not want to stay with what the internet said. The next day we made a visit to the vet and they did an ultrasound and some tests, the ultrasound only showed a slightly swollen uterus (probable sign of pregnancy). They told us that it was normal and that she probably lost the puppies, they also said that she had a fever due to an infection, but that it was nothing serious.

After a while she began to notice how her belly was growing, she couldn't get on beds or furniture, and that's when we realized that she hadn't lost the puppies. At that moment we bought some puppy perrarine because we were recommended to give her that one because it has more vitamins. I took the opportunity to take pictures because I was so impressed with her big belly.

A los diez días de que hubieran montado a mi perra empezó sangrar lo cual nos preocupó mucho, investigamos si era normal y en la mayoría de casos decía que si, pero no nos quisimos quedar con lo que dijera el internet. Al otro día hicimos una visita al veterinario y le hicieron un eco y algunos exámenes, en el eco solo se observó el útero un poco inflamado (probable señal de embarazo). Nos dijeron que era normal y que probablemente haya perdido los cachorros, también dijeron que tenía fiebre por una infección, pero que no era nada grave.

Luego de un tiempo se empezó a notar como le crecía la panza, no podía montarse en las camas ni en los muebles, y fue cuando nos dimos cuenta de que no había perdido a los cachorritos. En ese momento le compramos perrarina de cachorros porque nos recomendaron darle esa ya que tiene más vitaminas. Yo aproveché de tomarme fotos por lo impresionado que estaba de su grande panza💙💗

The last time la Negra gave birth early, she gave birth at 57 days (all the dogs came out healthy and it was a normal birth). For the same reason we thought that this time the same thing was going to happen, since day 57 we were all in my house watching the black one, every day that passed we thought she was going to give birth, if we saw her acting a little strange we thought she was going to give birth and that made the wait too long.

From day 57 we began to prepare for the birth, we set up a space with cardboard and old sheets for her to give birth (she gave birth there last time). Every day I was in charge of making her feel comfortable and safe in that place so that she would feel comfortable and safe when it was time to give birth.

La última vez que la Negra dio a luz se le adelantó el parto, ella parió a los 57 días (todos los perros salieron sanos y fue un parto normal) Por lo mismo creíamos que esta vez iba a pasar lo mismo, desde el día 57 estuvimos todos en mi casa pendientes de la negra, cada día que pasaba creíamos que iba a parir, si la veíamos actuando un poco extraño pensábamos que iba a parir y eso hizo que la espera fuera demasiada larga.

Desde el día 57 empezamos a prepararnos para el parto, le acomodamos un espacio con cartón y sábanas viejas para que pariera (ahí parió la vez pasada) Todos los días me encargaba de hacerle cariño en ese lugar para que se sintiera cómoda y segura ahí a la hora de parir.

On August 11, my sister and I went to a friend's house and told my sibling's mom to let us know of any strange behavior. We were enjoying ourselves but we were still on the lookout for my mom to let us know. At about 8:30 that night I texted her to see how he was doing and she said normal. When we got home (at 9:40 pm) La Negra had a walker, squeaker and was panting. The night before she was scratching the floor a lot and I inquired and they are all signs that she is going to give birth.

My siblings, my aunt and I went into the room to watch series so that she would give birth quietly since the last time she did not feel comfortable with us. we were locked up and silent for about half an hour and the internet went off. We had nothing to do and couldn't sleep because of anxiety.

My sibling and I put on lip masks while we were waiting and when the internet came on we watched a series, we also played hangman.

The black girl started to feel bad, she was pushing but nothing was coming out, she started to get a fever and we were very worried. My mom didn't sleep all night and I almost didn't sleep at all. We were very worried.

El 11 de agosto mi hermana y yo fuimos a casa de una amiga y le dijimos a mi mamá que nos avisara de cualquier comportamiento extraño que tuviera. Estábamos disfrutando pero igual estábamos pendiente de que mi mamá nos avisara. Como a las 8:30 de la noche le escribí un mensaje para saber como estaba y me dijo que normal. Cuando llegamos a la casa (a las 9:40 pm) La Negra tenía una caminadera, chilladera y estaba con jadeos. La noche anterior a ella estaba rascando mucho el suelo y yo me informé y todos son signos de que va a parir.

Mis hermanos, mi tía y yo nos metimos en el cuarto a ver series para que pariera tranquila ya que la ultima vez no se sintió cómoda con nosotros. estuvimos encerrados y haciendo silencio como por media hora y se fue el internet. No teníamos nada que hacer y no podíamos dormir por la ansiedad.

Mi hermana y yo mientras esperábamos nos pusimos unas mascarillas de labio y cuando llegó el internet vimos una serie, también jugamos al ahorcado.

La negra se empezó a sentir mal, pujaba pero no le salía nada, le empezó a dar fiebre y nosotros estuvimos muy preocupados. Mi mamá no durmió en toda la noche y yo casi ni dormí. Estábamos muy preocupados

The next day (August 12) my sibling, my mom and dad, who had not rested, went to the vet very early in the morning to see what was happening to Negrita.

They did an echo and the vet counted 5 hearts and they were all beating, he also said that she was about to give birth because they were all in place and that the complications are normal for her age. When my mom arrived she told us all that and we all felt much less worried.

Al otro día (12 de agosto) Mi hermana, mi mamá y mi papá que no habían descansado salieron muy temprano al veterinario para ver que era lo que le estaba pasando a la Negrita.

Le hicieron un eco y el Veterinario contó 5 corazones y todos estaban latiendo, también dijo que estaba a punto de parir porque ya todos estaban colocados y que las complicaciones son normales por su edad. Al llegar mi mamá nos dijo todo eso y todos nos sentimos muchísimos menos preocupados.

Then that moment Negra started to push in front of all of us and my mom told us not to move or make any noise. And my mom very elated yelled "It's white!"

When the dog finished coming out we were all in shock because usually the black one is very pitiful with us and the last time she gave birth very secluded only my mom could be near her.

The first one that was born was the one we named "Flaquito", he is a very pretty champagne color, he is a boy and he turned out to be the smallest one and was born at 9:45 am.

En eso la Negra empieza a pujar en frente de todos nosotros y mi mamá nos hizo señas de que no nos moviéramos ni hiciéramos ruido. Y mi mamá muy eufórica grito "¡Es blanco!"

Cuando terminó de salir el perro todos nos quedamos en shock porque generalmente la negra es muy penosa con nosotros y la última vez parió muy apartada solo mi mamá podía estar cerca de ella.

El primero que nació fue al que le pusimos como nombre flaquito, es como de un color champagne muy bonito, es varón, resultó ser el más pequeño y nació a las 9:45 am

This time it was a black puppy that turned out to be the only black puppy of the whole litter, he is a male and he is the most similar to Negra. Like the first one, he was born very easily and there were no problems. A beautiful black puppy that was born at 10:44 a.m.

Luego de una media hora de que pariera al primer perrito, de nuevo empezó a pujar, ella no manifestó algún tiempo de molestia por nuestra presencia, estaba cómoda. En esta ocasión fue un negrito que resultó ser el único negro de toda la camada, es un macho y es el más parecido a la Negra. Al igual que el primero nació con mucha facilidad y no hubo inconvenientes. Un hermoso perrito negro que nació a las 10:44 a.m

The next one started to give birth at about 11:25, she could not survive, she was very sorry, this dog came with paws, she came the other way around and Negra lasted a long time trying to get her out, my mom too, we all went into despair and a few tears came out. At that moment we called the vet who luckily was not busy and came as fast as possible, he managed to get her out but could not revive her although he tried for a while.

After we processed the whole situation my mom put the dog in a paper bag and we took her out. It was very disappointing and sad.

Then at 12:19 she gave birth to the fourth puppy who also came out upside down, when we saw that we were very scared because of what had already happened, thank God she didn't break the bag and although it took a little longer to get her out she came in her bag and didn't drown. She was born white with spots so we were thinking about calling her "vaca" or "cow" but it didn't fit, in the end we decided that she will be called Lola because it is a cow's name.

La siguiente empezó a parirla como a las 11:25, no pudo sobrevivir lamentándolo mucho, esta perrita vino de paticas, vino al contrario y la Negra duró mucha rato tratando de sacarla, mi mamá también, entramos todos en desesperación y salieron unas cuantas lagrimas. En eso se nos ocurrió llamar al veterinario que por suerte estaba desocupado y vino lo más rápido posible, el si logró sacarla pero no pudo reanimarla aunque lo intentó un rato.

Luego de que procesáramos toda la situación mi mamá metió a la perrita en una bolsita con papel y la sacamos. Fue muy decepcionante y triste.

Luego a las 12:19 parió a la cuarta perrita que también vino al revés, al ver eso nos asustamos mucho por lo que ya había pasado, Gracias a Dios no rompió la bolsita y aunque costó un poco más que saliera ella vino en su bolsita y no se ahogó. Ella nació blanca con manchitas por eso estuvimos pensando en llamarla "vaca" o "cow" pero no nos cuadraba, al final decidimos que se va a llamar Lola porque es un nombre de vaca.

And lastly at 12:42 pm, the one we call garbanzo was born, this little dog also came with paws, unlike Lola he did not have the bag, it was very likely that he would die but my mom acted fast. She watched what the vet had done and managed to get him out, the dog was not moving and was barely breathing through his mouth.

We were very anguished but with faith that everything was going to be ok, she started to put her finger in the dog's mouth and he started to spit liquid out of his mouth (this happens because when they come upside down they break the amniotic sac and start to breathe liquid) little by little my mom was draining this liquid that was in his airway and the dog started to breathe less and less difficult and now he is breathing normally and is healthy. He is a beautiful white puppy, he is the biggest and he is very beautiful.

Y por ultima a las 12:42 pm, nació al que llamamos garbanzo, este perrito también vino de patas, a diferencia de Lola no tenía la bolsita, era muy probable que muriera pero mi mamá actuó rápido. Ella observó lo que el veterinario había hecho y logro sacarlo, el perro no se movía y apenas respiraba por la boca.

Estábamos muy angustiados pero con fe de que todo iba a salir bien, ella empezó a meterle el dedo en la boca al perro y el empezó a botar líquido por la boca (esto sucede porque al venir al revés rompen el saco amniótico y empiezan a respirar líquido) poco a poco mi mamá fue drenando este líquido que se encontraba en sus vías respiratorias y el perro empezó a respirar cada vez con menos dificultad y ahora se encuentra respirando con normalidad y es sano. Es un hermoso cachorro blanco, es el más grande y es muy hermoso.

After the birth we were all very exhausted, especially Negra, which we have taken care of very well, we have been watching her and a few hours after her birth the vet came to inspect that everything was ok and injected her with a medicine that would help her to expel everything that was left inside and would also help her with the lactation.

The order of the puppies was:

💙9:45 am : Flaquito, male, white and the smallest.
💙0:44 am: Black, male.
💗12:19 : Lola la vaquita, female.
💙12:42 : Garbanzo, white and male.

Luego del parto todos quedamos muy exhaustos, sobre todo la Negra, la cual nos hemos encargado de cuidar muy bien, hemos estado al pendiente y algunas horas después de su parto el veterinario vino a inspeccionar que todo estuviera bien y le inyectó una medicina que la ayudaría a expulsar todo lo que quedara adentro y también la ayudaría con la lactancia.

El orden de los cachorros fue:

💙9:45 am : Flaquito, macho, blanco y el más pequeño.
💙10:44 : Negro, macho.
💗12:19 : Lola la vaquita, hembra
💙12:42 : Garbanzo, blanco y macho.

La Negra has been a very responsible mother, she has been very attentive to her little ones, she did not get jealous with us, we always came to watch the puppies and pet them. We have already located the people to whom we are going to donate them and they are all very responsible people.

Today I took advantage of the fact that the puppies are a little older and I took some pictures with them, now I leave you this small gallery of the puppies.

La Negra ha sido una madre muy responsable, ha estado muy pendiente de sus hijitos, ella no se puso celosa con nosotros, siempre nos acercamos a observar a los cachorros y los acariciamos. Ya tenemos ubicadas a las personas a quienes se las vamos a donar y todos son personas son muy responsables.

Hoy aproveché que están un poco más grandes los perritos y me tomé algunas foticos con ellos, ahora les dejo esta pequeña galería de los cachorros.

I am sure they will grow up very healthy and we will be very attentive to them and everything they need. This was a very nice experience but at the same time very distressing and desperate.

We are going to keep Lola, because she is the only female and we like the female dogs better because they don't mark territory and because they are calmer. We have been in charge of giving a lot of love and affection to the black one for the beautiful puppies she gave birth to, for her it was not easy at all, in fact, it was the opposite, that is why we thank her and congratulate her.

It is a pleasure for me to share with you this beautiful experience and I thank God because everything went well, and although one puppy was stillborn, the others are healthy as well as Negra.💙💗

Nosotros nos vamos a quedar con Lola, porque es la única hembra y a nosotros nos gustan más las perritas porque no marcan territorio y porque son más tranquilas. Nos hemos encargado de darle mucho amor y cariño a la negra por los bellos perritos que dio a luz, para ella no fue nada fácil, de hecho, fue todo lo contrario por eso le agradecemos y la felicitamos.
