Like a Picturesque: One of the Best Soothing Spots in Oriental
During my high school days, I wasn’t really fond of touching my feet on higher ground because it seemed to me the scariest place that I didn’t want to go. Not to mention, I didn’t really know much about going out on adventures, particularly in the mountains. Many times I tried to attempt joining hiking and other outdoor activities, yet it failed me to appreciate them since I had this phobia of heights.
But an unexpected phenomenon happened in 2022. Many people speculated that this year the “big one” was going to occur, and many of us panicked. Unexpectedly, the ground started shaking, and that was the time the news went viral that there was a strong earthquake. Indeed, we panicked, and one thing we had in mind was to climb the mountains because there was also news spreading that there would be a tsunami. We were panicking on our end, and yes, we climbed the mountain.
Believe it or not, we stayed overnight there—no shelter, no food, only water—and thank God it didn’t rain. The next morning, I woke up and didn’t expect what I saw. I saw an amazing creation of God in front of me, and I was like, “Woah! This is the best view that I’ve witnessed.” No voices of people talking to someone else—only the voices of birds singing, and the trees were dancing like I heard the word “peace.”
That’s when the realization hit me so hard: if you open your heart and mind to something you are afraid of, there’s no reason to hate the beautiful things around you. Go to the place you are afraid of and try to embrace its beauty within. Life is about putting yourself in places you don’t like—you will never grow if you stay in your comfort zone. Try to navigate to something that you are interested in and enter the place you are scared of, and then you will realize that there are parts of this world you need to witness.
It’s there to teach you a lesson—that if you face something unusual to you, eventually you will see yourself growing bold and strong, growing not only as a mere person but as an individual who can withstand any kind of difficulty in life. You will see yourself gradually becoming someone better than you were before, and you will thank yourself for holding on tight to the Powerful Hand that guided you along the journey.
So, one thing I learned here is to appreciate the creations around you. It’s a blessing to see wonderful places that can make you comfortable and help your mind feel relaxed and soothed. Embrace the flaws—nothing to be afraid of—because many adventures are coming your way.
Wow, it’s like magic sitting here in this exquisite chair made of metal. It’s like representing that in every soft chair, there is something strong that holds it and surrounds it as well. I love this view so much. If I have the chance to visit again, I would definitely grab the opportunity to come here over and over! While drinking or eating, you can see the view, and it’s like you are in paradise, making you feel that you are part of these beautiful sceneries.
I mentioned that I was afraid of heights, and look at me now—wanting to go to the other side of it. Unfortunately, we are not allowed because it’s still under renovation. But nothing has changed, because my feelings toward this kind of view are still the same—it’s paradise. So beautiful, and it looks like a painting. The wind blows through my hair, and I am so happy because it feels like I am the main character in this setting. Love it!
Look at me here—I never really had the confidence to pose like this, but guess what? Nature brings out the best in me. It inspires me to be myself, and this place encouraged me to strike this pose. I just felt like it because the vibe is so amazing. My heart is so happy knowing I had the chance to witness every detail of this place. Not gonna lie, it’s truly amazing and magical.
I hope that next time I’ll be wearing a dress, because this visit was completely unexpected. Maybe next time I’ll be more prepared and dress like a princess—I’ve been dreaming of this ever since.
Look! Below are the beautiful spots that I captured.

Hello! Please accurately pin your post to the map. It's located in Negros Oriental, right? Your pin is in Sibuyan Sea, off the coast of Masbate. You can zoom in to the map and locate the exact location of the place.
Hi! Thanks for pointing that out. You're right — the pin is currently misplaced. The correct location is in Negros Oriental, not in the Sibuyan Sea near Masbate. I’ll update the pin to reflect the accurate location. Appreciate your help!
