Metallurgical plant ruins

IMG_5175.jpg

The photo shows the ruins of one of the oldest Ural factories. It is located in the village of Voskresenskoye, Bashkiria. The plant produced its first products, copper alloys, in November 1745. Lasted until about 1900. According to some sources, a nearby copper mine dried up. According to other sources, the owner decided to convert the plant to produce cast iron, but prices for cast iron fell sharply and the plant became unprofitable. I don’t know which of these versions is true. In general, only the walls of the main building and a couple of small buildings nearby have survived to this day. A couple of years ago, the area next to the former plant was improved and turned into a unique tourist attraction. Grilles were installed on window and door openings. You could tear one off and go inside. But there is no point in this - there is emptiness and bushes inside.
