Ancient fossils

IMG_0883.jpg

Ulyanovsk region, the bank of the Volga near the village of Slantsevy Mine. This is where the Undora Geopark begins. On the shore, among the rocks, you can find a lot of ancient fossils. Ammonites and other stones, the names of which I don’t really understand. There are also many ancient fossils that are called "Devil's finger". Since this is a natural geopark-reserve, collecting stones is prohibited, but this does not stop many. Honestly, I myself took several interesting copies as souvenirs.🙂

Interesting details. Imagine taking some macro shots there. I think I would do that all day :)

I will go there again when it’s warm to take plenty of pictures there and look for interesting stones. This time it was very cold, a very cold wind blew from the river...
