Abandoned quarry

IMG_1399.jpg

One of the many abandoned quarries in the Southern Urals. Once upon a time, minerals were mined here, but the deposit was depleted and the mining was moved to a more promising place. And the huge pit gradually filled with water and became a man-made lake. True, over time, the road to the water was washed away, and now there is no way to go down to the water. But you can take a few photos at the top, since the rock dumps have bizarre shapes and interesting colors
