Roots (part 2)

You know something, I have always believed and will always believe in every photograph I take. I am at a point of equilibrium in which I never doubt myself, I feel so satisfied with every photograph I take, always in search of my best photograph.

In some I look for inspiration, in others the detail and the magic of what surrounds me, in others the coincidences, the surprises and the magic of the unexpected and the impact of the imperfect. But if they have something in common is that they all tell my story and my evolution in photography, with each one I am improving and perfecting myself in this unpredictable path that is photography.

A self-respecting Cuban photographer has to show her roots, her culture and her Cubanness in her photographs. That's why here I bring you a little more of my culture, and you know what? I don't care about bad opinions or people who close the doors of this world. I kick the door and open all the windows; there are no borders to make art. And what do you think?

Raíces (parte 2)

Saben algo, yo siempre he creído y creeré en cada fotografía que tomo. Estoy en un punto de equilibrio en el que no pienso dudar de mí nunca, me siento tan satisfecha con cada fotografía que hago, siempre en busca de mi mejor fotografía.

En unas busco la inspiración, en otras el detalle y la magia de lo que me rodea, en otras las casualidades, las sorpresas y la magia de lo inesperado y lo impactante de lo imperfecto. Pero si algo tienen en común es que todas cuentan mi historia y mi evolución en la fotografía, con cada una voy mejorando y me voy perfeccionando en este camino tan imprevisible que es la fotografía.

Y fotógrafa cubana, que se respete, tiene que mostrar sus raíces, su cultura y su cubania en sus fotografías. Es por eso que aquí les traigo un poquito más de mi cultura, ¿y saben algo? No me importan las malas opiniones ni las personas que me cierren las puertas de este mundo. Yo pateo la puerta y abro todas las ventanas; no hay fronteras para hacer arte. ¿Y ustedes qué creen?
