Jail or Brewery (Part 1)

The Santa Ana Factory or the Brewery, as it is popularly known in Trinidad. A warm and refreshing place at the same time. No one would ever imagine that, from its foundation in February 1844 until 1915, it was the Royal Prison of the city of Trinidad.

Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988. Full of mysteries, stories, sufferings and tortures. It did not meet the necessary requirements to be a prison, for many years it was abandoned serving as a warehouse and later became what it is today. These and many other things I learned during the tour.

I don't know what it was like before, but today it is an architectural beauty and very photogenic. Here I bring you some of the pictures I enjoyed taking of it. I hope you like them and give me your opinion.

Cárcel o Cervecería (Parte 1)

La Factoría de Santa Ana o la Fábrica de Cerveza, como popularmente se le conoce en Trinidad. Un lugar cálido y refrescante al mismo tiempo. Nadie jamás imaginaría que, desde su fundación en febrero de 1844 hasta el año 1915, fue la Cárcel Real de la ciudad de Trinidad.

Declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1988. Llena de misterios, historias, sufrimientos y torturas. No cumplía los requisitos necesarios para ser una Cárcel, por muchos años estuvo abandonada sirviendo de almacén y posteriormente se convirtió en lo que es hoy. Estas y muchas cosas más aprendí durante la excursión por ella.

No sé qué tal era antes, pero hoy es una belleza arquitectónica y muy fotogénica. Acá les traigo algunas de las fotografías que disfruté tomándole. Espero que les guste y me den su opinión.
