Happy Valentine's Day ♥️

It took me some time to understand that love as it is portrayed in Hollywood has nothing to do with real life.

That nothing and no one is perfect, much less a prince charming is going to come along and deliver me from any adversity.

I may have shed a tear or two too, before I learned to love myself first, and accept myself as I am. And don't think it's easy, every now and then a few more slip out, but there we go.

It also cost me not only tears, but also money to realize that Valentine's Day is just another invention of the system to get money out of us, to make us consume products of all kinds, and that love is not just a matter of a date, but a constant practice and decision.

Even so, I take advantage of any excuse to take pictures because it is precisely what I love the most.

Me costó algún tiempo entender que el amor tal como lo pintan en Hollywood no tiene nada que ver con la vida real.

Que nada ni nadie es perfecto, y que mucho menos va a venir un príncipe azul a librarme de cualquier adversidad.

Alguna que otra lágrima puede que haya derramado también, antes de aprender a amarme a mí misma primero, y aceptarme tal y como soy. Y no te creas que es fácil, a cada rato se me escapan otras pocas, pero ahí vamos.
