Fishing is not my thing and I will tell you why

Like when you go fishing with a group of five men, but your thing is not really fishing, but photography, the artist, as I like to call it ironically sometimes, well, that's how I took these pictures. I left very happy with my camera, tripod, and all the attitude.

I also took a few shots with the rod, but believe me, I'm not as good at fishing as my aspirations would like me to be. After enjoying a lot of walking around the largest man-made dam on the island, we stood around to see if we had any luck and all my attention went to the little details.

I noticed the rippling of the water, the birds that were doing a much better job than we were, and the other little boats that accompanied us in the distance.

There is a strange magic in this activity that makes you addicted. The calm, the silence, waiting patiently for a fish to bite, and the swaying of the boat while surrounded by nature are the things I take away from this experience, and of course these photos.

Como cuando te vas a pescar con un grupo de cinco hombres, pero lo tuyo realmente no es la pesca, sino la fotografía, el artistaje, como me gusta llamarlo de forma irónica a veces, pues bueno, así tomé estas fotos. Me fui muy feliz con mi cámara, trípode, y toda la actitud.

Luego de disfrutar un montón el paseo por la presa artificial más grande de la isla, nos quedamos parados para ver si teníamos suerte y toda mi atención se dirigió a los pequeños detalles.

Me fijaba en la ondulación del agua, los pájaros que hacían mucho mejor trabajo que nosotros, y los demás barquitos que nos acompañaban en la distancia.

Hay una magia extraña en esta actividad que te vuelve adicto. La calma, el silencio, esperar pacientemente a que pique un pez, y el vaivén del barco mientras estás rodeado de naturaleza, son las cosas que me llevo de esta experiencia, y por supuesto estas fotos.
