I am definitely in love with photography. I believe it is an excellent way to make art. At least I want to use this medium to achieve it. And little by little I am perfecting my technique to reach that level where each photograph can really transmit as much as I desire.

But I am not in a hurry. I am enjoying the process. Meanwhile, I attend events that are of interest to me and that I believe will allow me to get very good shots.

I have focused a lot on the urban culture of my city, specifically on the emergence of an ever-growing hip hop scene that is making noise in Maracaibo and San Francisco.

I am sure that what is being done right now is going to have huge repercussions. This intense earthquake of talent is going to shake a new generation. And not only locally, but also far beyond our borders.

I want to be a part of it and grow in my work with the movement. I want to be there when the climax of this epic moment arrives, offering the best I can to portray and capture those special moments we are creating.

This session was held at the Urban Fest event, held at the Hugo el Duro skatepark in La Coromoto. Here there was a little bit of everything that has to do with urban culture: rap, dance, and extreme sports.

In preparing to create this content, I realized that many times, when work like mine is done, it is trying to transmit emotion and adrenaline with this type of events. But that was not exactly what I experienced.

In my editing process, I wanted the videos and photographs to provide a very serene feeling. And everything happened naturally. The idea, like each shot, came from the spontaneous. This is how I experienced the event.

The place collaborated a lot to generate this effect, as several shots were in open spaces, with very isolated subjects, giving me a lot of negative space. Although sometimes that negative space is a bit contaminated, in the editing I tried to take full advantage of this element.

There were also some shots full of movement and emotion, which I think give a certain balance to the gallery so that it does not feel empty and simple. The event was not a spiritual retreat either. There was a vibrant youth wearing many smiles.

In any case, I am still a simple apprentice. But this gallery in particular seems to me to demonstrate the work I have been doing and everything I have learned in a few months. I hope you like it. I send you a big hug.

Definitivamente estoy enamorado de la fotografía. Creo que esta es una excelente forma de hacer arte. Al menos yo quiero usar este medio para lograrlo. Y poco a poco voy perfeccionando mi técnica para llegar a ese nivel en el que cada fotografía pueda realmente transmitir tanto como deseo.

Pero no estoy apresurado. Estoy disfrutando del proceso. Mientras tanto, asisto a eventos que son de mi interés y que creo que me permitirán conseguir muy buenas tomas.

Me he enfocado mucho en la cultura urbana de mi ciudad, específicamente en el surgimiento de una escena hip hop cada vez mayor que está haciendo ruido en Maracaibo y San Francisco

Tengo la seguridad de que lo que se está haciendo ahora mismo va a tener repercusiones gigantescas. Este intenso sismo de talento va a estremecer a una nueva generación. Y no solo a nivel local, sino también mucho más allá de nuestras fronteras.

Yo quiero formar parte de eso y crecer en mi trabajo con el movimiento. Quiero que cuando llegue el climax de este momento épico, yo esté ahí, ofreciendo lo mejor que pueda para retratar y capturar esos momentos especiales que estamos creando.

Esta sesión fue realizada en el evento Urban Fest, realizado en el skatepark Hugo el Duro de la Coromoto. Aquí hubo un poquito de todo lo que tiene que ver con la cultura urbana: rap, baile y deportes extremos.

Preparándome para crear este contenido me di cuenta de que muchas veces, cuando se hacen trabajos como el mío, se intenta transmitir emoción y adrenalina con este tipo de eventos. Pero eso no fue exactamente lo que yo experimenté.

En mi proceso de edición buscaba que los videos y fotografías brindaran una sensación muy serena. Y todo se dio de forma natural. La idea, como cada toma, surgió de lo espontáneo. Así viví yo el evento.

El lugar colaboraba mucho para generar este efecto, ya que varias tomas fueron en espacios abiertos, con sujetos muy aislados, dándome muchísimo espacio negativo. Aunque a veces ese espacio negativo está un poco contaminado, en la edición traté de aprovechar al máximo este elemento.

También hubo algunas tomas llenas de movimiento y emoción, que creo que dan cierto equilibrio en la galería para que no se sienta vacía y simple. El evento tampoco era un retiro espiritual. Había una juventud vibrante que vestía muchas sonrisas.

De todas maneras, sigo siendo un simple aprendiz. Pero esta galería en especial me parece que demuestra el trabajo que he estado haciendo y todo lo que he aprendido en unos meses. Espero que te guste. Te mando un abrazo enorme.
