Introducing Mima, my kitten [EN/PT-BR]

Three years ago, I was visiting a building under construction and a cat approached the architect and started rubbing against her legs. I asked if the cat was hers, due to the affection she showed, but she told me that it was a stray cat and that I only saw her during work.

As I always liked cats, I asked if she was available for adoption and she told me yes, I just had to talk to the engineer who fed her and gave her a place to sleep.

That same day, I talked to my wife and said I had a surprise for her. Then, I took her to the construction site and we met with the engineer, who was looking for new owners for the cat.

Although she was well fed and had a place to sleep, a construction site was not the most suitable place as there was a lot of dust and the danger of something hitting her during the work.

So, we adopted her and she became part of our daily lives, brightening our home ever since. Mima is a very active cat and has fun climbing windows, trees and even the roof of the house.

From a street cat, Mima became the owner of the house, with a bed, a drinking fountain, the best food and a playground to have fun at will. Now, yes, she has everything she deserves.

Since we adopted her, she is much chubbier and her fur is much softer and longer too. We also provide neutering and keep all vaccinations up to date.

What has never changed is the affectionate way she greets us whenever we arrive home, reminding us of the first day I saw her rubbing against the legs of the girl who spent a few moments at work with her.

Há três anos, estava visitando um prédio em construção e uma gata se aproximou da arquiteta e começou a roçar nas suas pernas. Perguntei se a gata era dela, pela afeição que demonstrava, mas ela me respondeu que era uma gata de rua e que a via apenas durante o trabalho.

Como sempre gostei de gatos, perguntei se ela estava disponível para adoção e ela me disse que sim, bastava conversar com o engenheiro que a alimentava e havia dado um lugar para domir a ela.

Naquele mesmo dia, conversei com a minha mulher e disse que tinha uma surpresa para ela. Em seguida, a levei até a construção e nos encontramos com o engenheiro, que estava à procura de novos tutores para a gata.

Apesar de estar bem alimentada e ter um lugar para dormir, uma construção não era o local mais adequado já que havia muita poeira e o perigo de que algo a atingisse durante a obra.

Assim, a adotamos e ela passou a fazer parte do nosso dia-a-dia, alegrando a nossa casa deste então. Mima é uma gata muito ativa e se diverte subindo nas janelas, nas árvores e até no telhado da casa.

De gata de rua, Mima se tornou a dona da casa, com direito a cama, bebedouro, a melhor ração e um playground para se divertir à vontade. Agora, sim, ela tem tudo que merece.

Desde que a adotamos, está bem mais gordinha e com o pelo muito mais macio e mais longo também. Também providenciamos a castração e colocamos todas as vacinas em dia.

O que nunca mudou foi a forma carinhosa como nos recebe sempre que chegamos em casa, nos fazendo lembrar do primeiro dia em que a vi roçando nas pernas da moça que passava alguns momentos do trabalho com ela.
