PREPARING MY VERNISSAGE IN ASCONA

Hello dear friends,
on the 2nd of September I inaugurated my exhibition in Ascona in Ticino, and it went very well and also the good weather helped us.
As always I started preparing things mega early and finished them anyway at the last moment 😅
So I had a thousand unforeseen things happen like that the painting did not pass either by the elevator or the stairs....

Ciao cari amici,
il 2 di settembre ho inagurato la mia mostra ad Ascona in Ticino, ed é andata benissimo avendoci aiutato parecchio anche il bel tempo.
Come sempre ho iniziato a preparare le cose mega presto e le finisco lo stesso all' ultimo momento 😅
Cosí ho avuto mille imprevisti tipo che il quadro non passava né dall' ascensore né dalle scale...

so that we had to pull it up... we were always with plan B and without suitable materials.

sicché ci é toccato tirarlo su... stavamo sempre con il piano B e senza materiali adatti.

With a broken glass and a defective one....

Con un vetro rotto e uno difettato...

But it was worth it, and tomorrow I will show you the final result.

Das hoffe ich auch... hatte auch Gäste aus Wien, Deutschland und Italien... mein Bruder ist mit Neffe aus Biel gekommen 😃

What an ordeal dealing with large pieces!
Broken glass I had to contend with before also, but that happened with a transport company.
I hope it was all worth it. My pieces rarely exceed 1 meter, so I don't have such problems. Makes shipping a lot easier and above all, cheaper.

PS: I remember that Sumo Wrestler from years ago when I visited you in France. So it is a well travelled piece!

Ohhh ja... das hab ich in Österreich gezeichnet, war aber meistens bei mir weil es zu meiner Einrichtung gut passt 😁

Ah peccato non lo sapevo, é che il vernissage era a numero chiuso perché sennó non ci sarebbero stati tutti e cosí l' ho comunicato soltanto il giorno dopo... la prossima volta probabilmente sará a Vienna, e lo comunicheró prima 😅
