Hello #Dailyblog friends, as some of you know, a few months ago I was in San Felipe, the capital of the Yaracuy state in Venezuela, for the christening of my daughter's first book. Thank God, we truly had a wonderful time, not only during the event but also while we were touring the city. We had the opportunity to meet wonderful people and reunite with an old childhood friend, one of those friendships that are like family. It had been a long time since I traveled and experienced things that were different from my daily routine, so for me it was truly a precious and invaluable experience that I would like to repeat more often.
Hola amigos de #Dailyblog, como algunos de ustedes saben hace algunos meses estuve en San Felipe, la capital del estado Yaracuy en Venezuela, a causa del bautizo del primer libro de mi hija, realmente y gracias a Dios pasamos días hermosos, no solo durante el evento sino mientras recorríamos la ciudad, tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a personas maravillosas y reunirnos con una vieja amiga de mi infancia, de esas amistades que son como familia. Yo tenía mucho tiempo que no viajaba y vivía cosas diferentes a mi rutina diaria, así que realmente para mi fue una experiencia preciosa e invaluable que me gustaría repetir más seguido.
We even took walks around my friend's neighborhood and I loved it because we got so many bushes of Trinidad flowers that decorated the landscape, we liked it so much that we had a lot of fun taking the popular Ghibli Studio style photo 😃
Incluso hicimos paseos por la urbanización de mi amiga y me encantó porque conseguimos muchísimos arbustos de flores trinitarias que adornaban el paisaje, nos gustó tanto que nos divertimos mucho haciendo la popular foto estilo Estudios Ghibli 😃
But we had to get back, so we boarded the bus and headed back to our hometown, Valencia. Even though we had a great time and were already missing the rest of our family, our home, and our pets, the trip back was still very enjoyable.
Pero ya teníamos que regresar, así que abordamos el autobús y nos encaminamos de regreso a nuestra ciudad de origen, Valencia. A pesar de que nos divertimos y la pasamos muy bien ya extrañábamos al resto de la familia, a nuestra casa y nuestras mascotas, de todos modos el viaje de regreso estuvo muy ameno también.
I'm one of those people who enjoys traveling to the fullest, so I always looked out the window to admire the beautiful wild landscape, as well as the cityscapes. For example, one of our favorite things to see was the armadillo sculpture we found in one of the towns we passed through.
Yo soy de las personas que disfruta al máximo de los viajes, así que en todo momento me asomaba a la ventana para admirar el precioso paisaje agreste, así como también los paisajes urbanos. Por ejemplo una de las cosas que más nos gustó fue esa escultura en forma de armadillo que encontramos en uno de los pueblos por donde pasamos.
And in one of the squares where we stopped for breakfast, we saw an iguana sunbathing 😄. It even let me get close enough to take a photo. I think it was a real diva and wanted a spot on social media 🤣. They're not my favorite animal, but they do catch my attention.
Y en una de las plazas donde paramos para desayunar pudimos ver una iguana tomando el sol 😄, incluso permitió que me acercase lo suficiente para hacerle una foto, creo que era toda una diva y quería un espacio en las redes sociales 🤣. No son mi animal favorito pero sí llaman mi atención.
And my favorite moment was when we arrived at the city of Puerto Cabello (already quite close to Valencia). I like that city because it's a port and therefore has beautiful beaches, but it also has one of the most important oil refineries in our country, the El Palito refinery, which we were able to see from the window of our bus on the trip. I've seen it at night, the times we returned from our trips to the beach, and it looks very pretty because it's completely lit up, even the tall chimneys, so much so that from a distance it gives the impression of being a castle, and only when you're up close do you realize it's an oil refinery.
Y mi momento favorito fue cuando llegamos a la ciudad de Puerto Cabello (ya bastante cerca de Valencia) me gusta esa ciudad porque es portuaria y por lo tanto tiene una playas preciosas, pero además tiene una de las refinerías de petróleo más importantes de nuestro país, la refinería El Palito, la cual pudimos ver desde la ventana de nuestro autobús en el viaje. La he visto de noche, las veces en que regresamos de nuestros viajes a la playa, y se ve muy bonita porque está completamente iluminada, incluso las altas chimeneas, tanto que cuando estás lejos da la impresión de ser un castillo, y solo cuando estás cerca te das cuenta que es una refinería de petróleo.
Traveling is truly a pleasurable experience. It allows us to break away from our routine and experience new experiences, allowing us to create precious memories that will last forever. De verdad que viajar es una experiencia placentera, hace que salgamos de nuestra rutina y que vivamos experiencias distintas, lo que nos permite construir recuerdos valiosos que perdurarán por siempre.
