Hello everyone. I introduce myself in this beautiful community and I am going to tell you a story of a very special being that came to our home and has brought us a lot of joy. I hope you like it.

It all started on December 12, 2015, at approximately 11:00 p.m. on a highway in Caracas, Venezuela.

My husband and I were on our way home from visiting my mother in law, when suddenly my eyes caught sight of a cute little furry dog crossing the highway, my reaction was to yell at my husband, since he hadn't noticed and I exclaimed: the doggy, the doggy, the doggy! We had to stop the car and my husband carefully crossed the highway to look for him, of course, the furry one was scared, until he let himself be caught, and we put him in the car, my husband driving and me holding him tight, since he was very scared.

Our intention at that moment was not to stay with him, we stopped at a police booth on the road, to see what we could do with him, and their great idea was to keep him tied up in a certain place until we decided what to do with him, we did not like the idea and we took him to our house, with the intention of giving him to someone else who would take responsibility and take care of him. But that same day Sortario fell in love with us, since that day I felt that he had always been part of us, the furry and I got along since that same night, and from then on he has been our most faithful companion, he is for us an adorable gift from God.

I have never been able to resist that look so tender and innocent, because with his little face and raising his paw he almost always convinces me. The first few months he watched out for my husband or any stranger that in any way approached me, but with a lot of love and patience he was seducing me, and even though I am his number 1, my husband is number 2.

When we were looking for a name for him, we had some very simple ones in mind, such as Peluson, and when my mother-in-law, who has a gift for naming animals, was with us, she said, "Why don't you name him "Sortario", and we thought it was great, since that name was appropriate for him and for his story.

Whenever we go to the vet, when they call him, they tell him, Sortario Pizzi, ha ha ha, he has his first and last name as a character.

After a few days of having found him, we took him to be checked, and to our surprise, Sortario was very sick with a terrible disease transmitted by ticks, the doctor told us that he was serious and that it was not very noticeable because he was still very young, he was between two and a half to three years old, thank God that with medication, good food and lots of cuddles, our furry was healthy.

It makes him very sad to be alone, every time I have to go out I signal him and talk to him (as he already knows my tone of voice when I say goodbye for a moment), he just ducks his little head and gets under the bed, or climbs on the couch without even looking at me, it breaks my heart but there are places where I can't take him.

What he loves the most:

Well not me, heh heh heh heh heh, because food is his first love since he lives obsessed with it, and then me, yes I know, second place, but for me it's enough.

His personality:

He has always been very calm, he has never harmed us, he is quite fearful with the other dogs, although he gets along well with his neighbor Pablito, another dog rescued by some neighbors, but what can I tell you, he is a friend of the cats, yes, he can play and be calm in the middle of a group of kittens.

Here the neighbors say that he is pretentious, because he does not go with everyone, but he is very sweet and patient with the children, and the most beautiful thing of all is that when we open the door he welcomes us with such great joy, that if we are sad about something he gives us a smile.

Sometimes I get melancholic when I remember that they do not last long, but I try not to think too much about that, but rather to pamper him a lot, to love him a lot, to enjoy him as much as possible, so that when he leaves this world, I am left with the satisfaction that here with us, he was the happiest furry one!

ESPAÑOL

Hola a todos. Me presento en esta hermosa comunidad y les voy a contar una historia de un ser muy especial que llegó a nuestro hogar y nos ha traído mucha alegría. Espero que les guste.

Todo comenzó un 12 de Diciembre en el año 2015, aproximadamente a las 11 de la noche en una autopista en Caracas-Venezuela.

Mi esposo y yo veníamos de visitar a mi suegra y nos dirigíamos a nuestro hogar, cuando de pronto mis ojos miran a un precioso perrito muy peludito cruzando la autopista, mi reacción fue gritarle a mi esposo, ya que él no se había dado cuenta y le exclame: el perrito!, el perrito!.

Tuvimos que parar el carro y mi esposo con mucho cuidado cruzo la autopista para ir a buscarlo, por supuesto el peludo estaba asustadizo hasta que se dejo agarrar, y bueno lo metimos en el carro, mi esposo manejando y yo tomándolo fuerte, ya que se sentía muy temeroso.

Nuestra intensión no era en ese momento quedárnoslo, nos paramos en una caseta policial en la vía, para ver que podíamos hacer, y la gran idea de ellos, era tenerlo amarrado en cierto lugar hasta tomar la decisión de que hacer con él, pues no nos gusto la idea y nos lo llevamos a nuestra casa con la intensión de dárselo a otro que se responsabilizara y lo cuidara. Pero ese mismo día Sortario nos enamoró, desde ese momento, yo sentía que el siempre había sido parte de nosotros, el peludo y yo nos compenetramos desde esa misma noche, y de allí en adelante a sido nuestro compañerito más fiel, el es para nosotros un adorable regalo de Dios.

Nunca me he podido resistir a esa mirada tan tierna e inocente, pues con su carita y levantando su patita casi siempre me convence. Los primeros meses el me cuidaba de mi esposo o de cualquier extraño que de alguna manera se acercara a mí, pero con mucho amor y paciencia el fue cediendo, y aunque yo sea su número 1, pues mi esposo es el número 2.

Estando en busca de un nombre para él, tuvimos en la mente algunos muy simples, como por ejemplo Pelusón y estando con nosotros mi suegra, que tiene un don para poner nombre a los animalitos, nos dice, ¿Y porqué no le ponen "Sortario"?, y nos pareció genial, ya que ese nombre era adecuado para él y para su historia.

Siempre que vamos al veterinario, cuando lo llaman, le dicen, Sortario Pizzi!, Ja Ja Ja tiene su nombre y apellido como todo un personaje.

Después de algunos días de haberlo encontrado, lo llevamos a que lo chequearan, y para nuestra sorpresa, Sortario estaba muy enfermo con una terrible enfermedad que transmiten las garrapatas, el médico nos dijo que estaba grave y que no se le notaba mucho porque aún era muy joven, pues tenía entre dos años y medio a tres, gracias a Dios que con medicamentos, buena comida y muchos mimos, nuestro peludo se sanó.

Le entristece mucho el estar solo, cada vez que tengo que salir le hago señas y le hablo (pues ya conoce mi tono de voz cuando me despido por un momento), el solo agacha su cabecita y se mete debajo de la cama, o se sube al sofá sin siquiera mirarme, me parte el corazón pero hay lugares a donde no le puedo llevar.

Lo que más ama:

Bueno a mi no,je je je je, pues la comida es su primer amor ya que vive obsesionado con ella, y después yo, si ya se, segundo lugar, pero para mí es suficiente.

Su personalidad:

Siempre ha sido muy tranquilo, nunca nos ha dañado nada, es bastante temeroso con los otros perros, aunque se lleva bien con su vecino Pablito, otro perrito rescatado por unos vecinos, pero que les digo, es amigo de los gatos, si, el puede jugar y estar tranquilo en medio de un grupo de mininos.

Acá los vecinos le dicen que es pretencioso, porque no se va con todo el mundo, pero es muy dulce y paciente con los niños, y lo más bello de todo es que cuando abrimos la puerta el nos recibe con una alegría tan grande, que si por algo estamos entristecidos el nos saca una sonrisa.

A veces me pongo melancólica cuando recuerdo que ellos duran poco, pero trato de no pensar mucho en eso, sino más bien en consentirlo mucho, en amarlo mucho, en disfrutarlo lo más que ´pueda, para que cuando parta de este mundo, me quede la satisfacción de que aquí con nosotros, el fue el peludo más feliz!.
