Pietrapelosa Castle
Pietrapelosa Castle
Usually, this kind of posts would start with the picture of the castle itself but I didn't make that shot. I don't know how I missed to do that?! For the occasion I was shooting an event in the castle and I guess I was too occupied with the assignment so I missed to some more shots of the castle itself, especially the picture of the castle standing on the top of the hill what would be the crucial shot for this kind of the article. Nevertheless, I decided to still make this post without that shot.
So the 1st shot above is the view from the top of the castle which shows the valley with a couple of villages. All the rest of the photos here below are showing the interior of the castle, except the last one which again shows the view.
I won't be writing too much about it cause I prefer to focus this post on the black and white photo I made of this old place. More about it you can find on the following link: https://www.istra.hr/en/experience/culture/cultural-sights/2563
I like the compositions of all the photos I took here and how they equipped the castle to serve in touristic purposes and occasionally for some events. I like the roughness of the wooden benches and the iron fences and how they correspond with the age of the castle and the rocky building style. I also like very much the installation of the iron knight - the only one left in the castle, like the last guardian of the place.
I'm finishing the post with the view from the top of the castle, same like I started it. I really like this shot! Istria is such an extraordinary beautiful place to be!
I hope you liked this historic photo tour of the castle.
This is my entry to #monomad challenge. Thanks @monochromes for keeping up this great photo challenge!
The upper shots I made with Nikon D800 & Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm lens. For the self-portrait below I used the same equipment.
