That is cool!
I have an idea to photograph the skeleton of a half-decayed leaf.
I once found last year's leaf in a pile of leaves and the pattern of its veins seemed very amazing and perfect to me.... But I haven't realized the idea yet.
I imagine it on a light background with good lighting. It is necessary to find a suitable sheet and build at home something like a lightbox for a good macro.
Someday I will definitely implement this
I'd make it simple and shoot it outdoors when the sky is cloudy ;)
White background/lightboxes are overrated. Find a background that adds something!
(have a look at the Kollateral series @maehring, originally I opted for a white background, but in the end I found something much nicer and appropriate...)
Very nice! They remind me of something you may see in a Webb Telescope image.
The makro meets the mikro meets the universe ;)

Go for it, and don't stop there!
I started Kompost 3 years ago, and since then I am always looking to the ground when in nature ;)
