Happy New Year to everyone here on HIVE!
Since we will be spending New Year's Eve in El Eden (Uruguay), it makes sense to perform the New Year's light painting here.
The idea was clear right away: a light painting with steel wool as a symbol for the New Year's fireworks.
Of course I want to take my blame for that

Da wir in El Eden (Uruguay) die Silvesternacht verbringen werden, liegt es auch nahe, das Lightpainting zum Neujahrsgruß hier zu performen.
Die Idee stand auch gleich fest: ein Lightpainting mit Stahlwolle als Symbol für das Silvester-Feuerwerk.
Natürlich möchte ich meine Schuld für den
letzten Post einlösen und
noch eine kurze Beschreibung liefern. @draysax hatte darum gebeten.

I think the question was related to the writing as I had already described the rest in the article. So I'm going to revisit that today as I used the same technique in the cover photo as well. This is a light writing. Two flashlights with attached caps were used. These were made using a 3D printer. Many thanks for that

Ich denke, dass sich die Frage auf die Schrift bezog, da ich den Rest bereits im Artikel beschrieben hatte. Also gehe ich heute noch einmal darauf ein, da ich die gleiche Technik auch im Titelbild verwendet habe.
Es handelt sich hier um ein Light-Writing.
Eingesetzt wurden zwei Taschenlampen mit aufgesteckten Kappen. Diese wurden mit Hilfe eines 3D-Druckers hergestellt. Besten Dank dafür

In den folgenden Bildern sind diese Tools zu sehen. Eines habe ich an einer Ands on Melon Laterne montiert und das andere auf eine ThorFire TK15S.
Making Of
Writing with light is almost like graffiti. The further I move the lamp away from the wall or whatever I want to paint, the wider the painted area becomes. However, then not as much color arrives there. The longer you paint on a spot, the more color gets there. With graffiti the color would run down the wall, with light painting the color then burns out and turns white. In order to make the writing as straight and even as possible, I used duct tape to stick a few guidelines on the wall.
Beim schreiben mit Licht ist es fast so wie beim Graffiti. Um so weiter ich mich mit der Lampe von der Wand oder was auch immer ich bemalen will, entferne, um so breiter wird die bemalte Fläche. Allerdings kommt dann auch nicht mehr so viel Farbe dort an. Um so länger man auf eine Stelle malt um so mehr Farbe kommt dort an. Beim Graffiti würde die Farbe die Wand runter laufen, beim Lightpainten brennt die Farbe dann aus und wird weiss.
Um die Schrift möglichst gerade und gleichmäßig zu gestalten, habe ich mir mit Panzertape ein paar Hilfslinien an die Wand geklebt.
Steel Wool Light Painting
First I wrote on the wall with the help of the flashlights. The camera was about 2m away from the wall. Then the camera was rotated horizontally by 180° on the tripod. I stood 3m away on the meadow, lit the steel wool and threw it until the embers went out. The rotation of the camera was necessary for security reasons, because I didn't want to set the porch of the house on fire. Rodrigo stood at the camera and capped the lens while I lit the steel wool and got the momentum for the rotation.
Zuerst habe ich mit Hilfe der Taschenlampen an die Wand geschrieben. Die Kamera stand circa 2m von der Wand entfernt. Dann wurde die Kamera auf dem Stativ horizontal um 180° gedreht. Ich stellte mich in 3m Entfernung auf die Wiese, zündete die Stahlwolle an und schleuderte sie so lange, bis die Glut erlosch. Die Drehung der Kamera war aus Sicherheitsgründen notwendig, weil ich das Vordach des Hauses nicht in Brand setzen wollte.An der Kamera stand Rodrigo, der das Objektiv verschloss, während ich die Stahlwolle anzündete und Schwung für die Drehung holte.
In the picture above you can see the construction of the slingshot for the steel wool. I just got some old copper wire, stripped the end long and braided a basket out of the individual wires. This lasts for several attempts.
Im Bild oben seht ihr den Aufbau der Schleuder für die Stahlwolle. Ich hatte mir einfach etwas alte Kupferlitze besorgt, das Ende lang abisoliert und aus den einzelnen Drähten ein Korb geflochten. Das hält auch für mehrere Versuche.

Danke! Dir auch ein frohes neues Jahr! Ja, uns geht es gut. Wir sind ganz ohne jedes Feuerwerk, Saufgelage oder sonstiges ins neue Jahr gekommen. Wir waren hier fleißig. Rodrigo und ich haben Silvester noch ein Lightpainting auf den Chip gezaubert. Das gibt es dann hier auf HIVE in den nächsten Wochen zu sehen.
