Nature's Little Hidden Charms Among the Greens!

Most of the time, we admire the overall beauty of the lush greens and vegetation around us, yet seldom do we take notice of the delicate creatures blending and hiding among those greens. But if we take a closer look and pay attention to those little wonders living in the tapestry we will be amazed too by the beauty that they possess.

It's not too long ago that I started admiring these tiny marvels myself. Though I am scared of worms (any type) or any long and soft-bodied crawling insects especially hairy ones which keep me intentionally avoiding plants/leaves, however, I was surprised one day when I am examining plants/leaves and trying to see insects residing on them.

So this post is a compilation of wonders of the tiny creatures I saw in the gardens and wild grasses on my walks and on my leisure stroll. Common let's meet them one by one!

I was strolling in our school garden looking for matured string beans when I passed a group of Kalabo Plants (Origano Plants), I stopped seeing how lush and green the Kalabo Plants are, but when I came closer to it, I was surprised to see a tiny living creature hiding behind the leaf. It's a lynx spider.

Watching closely, I only noticed then that this spider has thorny legs. Well, maybe most of the spiders are. But if I hadn't taken a closer look I wouldn't discover its stripe color body and those spikes it has. And look at that, she's laying eggs!

Not too far from this leaf, another tiny black insect I saw. She was busy checking? tasting? the Oregano leaf. She's the Anthribidae a family of beetles also known as the fungus weevils. (Thanks to Google Lens). Do you think she's hungry again after making that hole in the leaf? I think so!

I ended up just taking pictures of these little delights in the garden and I almost forgot the original purpose of my visit - to gather string beans. Haha

This time I strolled around my brother's Free-range chicken farm. It's not that big in size, there is space in the middle of it where grasses grow for the chicken to feed and hunt some worms. As I draw nearer to it, a "black with a brush of white color" insect with a "light brown" lower body, caught my attention. Its color is an art itself!

I think it's sleeping peacefully as I could not see its eyes and its wings were kept on its side. I googled its name and found out that it is a froghopper. It says adults of these types of insects can jump many times their height and length, so maybe that is the reason why it's sleeping in broad daylight. It's tired of jumping!

Meanwhile, above the swaying grasses, a small brown butterfly alighted delicately upon the leaves. Its two-layered circle with the "colors black (inner circle) and brown (outer)" is a stand-out feature of its wings. It's amazing how this small creature has a unique wing pattern.

The last insect I met on this walk, was also my favorite to play when I was a kid. Oh, I felt terribly sorry for what I and my friends did to these dragonflies way back then.

We used to tie these dragonflies on their tails and made them our kites. Poor dragonflies they keep on flying trying to escape which also made us very happy. We even compete whose dragonfly flies the highest and the longest. You know kids!

Don't you think it looks beautiful on the leaf? This is my favorite shot.

How about you, are you also amazed by the beauty of these tiny little creatures? Do you also check on them and find them on purpose, and marvel at how amazing nature is?

Nature's wonder extends beyond its lush greenery to the enchanting world of tiny creatures that inhabit and harmonize with it. These tiny creatures exude a captivating beauty that never fails to inspire wonder. Their beauty is a true marvel!

Thank you for reading. I appreciate it much.😍 I wish you all safe and well always!

Seems like you are enjoying your new phone's camera. Those are sharp macro shots already. I'm amazed with the details you were able to get with that dragonfly! I'm now curious what more you can find.
