Chasing thrills & Exploring the Majestic Marmol Cliff! ⛰️

"The secret to walkin´ on water is knowing where the rocks are."-Bootsy Collins

I had one of the most adventurous days and a dose of 101% level of adrenaline rush by the time we embarked on the winding and sandy river going to Marmol Cliff! Eeey! I could still feel my heart pounding and the sensation during our rides even though it’s been weeks by now!

The Mighty Marmol Cliff of Tuburan

Nestled in the foot of the mountains of Tuburan where the longest river of the town passes through is the mighty and the majestic boulders of Marmol Cliff. These shiny and smooth boulders seem to be the giant doors welcoming the river flowing from the mountain going to the plains.

This majestic rock formation has attracted all sorts of nature lovers to its breathtaking beauty! The cliff has even become one of the famous venues for prenuptial photos. Not only does the Marmol Cliff have this shining feature of rock which is why it was named Marmol (Marble) as locals called it but the place itself gives someone a feeling that he/she is in some renowned international tourist spot.😎

Being surrounded by these Marmol Cliff, I couldn’t stop admiring and being in awe of this wonderful nature!

Going there and the experience!

Originally, we planned to trek the long river of Tuburan going to the town's hidden gem, the Marmol Cliff. However, we arrived later than anticipated at our destination which opted us for an exhilarating bike ride along the sandy, uneven terrain and flowing river of Tuburan! Hooohhh! Common Let’s Go! Taraaa!

IMG20240102085522.jpg

Waaaaahhhh! I was screaming then and there! The thrill was real! Each time we drove on the water, I was holding my breath while I sat still not moving a bit, afraid I might topple over! Haha! And let out a big scream every time we successfully cross one! For sure my scream echoed through the river valley!

Riding and Splashing!

Driving through the winding and sandy river en route to the Marmol cliff was both challenging and an exciting adventure. There’s no other way to get to the Cliff but by driving through the flowing river. It could have been easier if there was a fixed path along the riverside to follow, but oh boy, we had to embrace the challenge of finding the right path to take for ourselves!

IMG20240102085922.jpg

Vehicle Check. I was in doubt if we could reach the top of the Marmol Cliff safe and dry because I was riding a scooter. Could our motorbike handle the rugged trail? Among the four of us who went for a ride, only one had the right motorbike for this kind of adventure that we took, the rest had motorbikes suited for plains or in the streets! Haha. However my love for adventure fueled me to set aside my doubts and enjoy the whole, bumpy and splashy ride., Haha! After all, isn’t that what adventure is all about right?

IMG20240102085552.jpg

IMG20240102084754.jpg

At that time the beautiful wide river became our field track of adventure! It only looked shallow and plain, but it was a scam! Its unique feature which is a sandy and pebble-strewn bed gave us difficulty in controlling the wheels. Every time the wheels hit and sank on the sand, I closed my eyes and held my breath feeling the splashing of water on my feet! Haha! Good thing my driver is an expert and was very quick to adapt to the river quirks! The ride wasn’t an easy feat, my forehead was sweating.

Aside from the sands, water, rocks, and pebbles that we felt underneath the wheels, the river showcased its beautiful landscape too before our eyes. Each turn and curve we took, led to a beautiful view of the river.

IMG20240102090428.jpg

The river itself became a path surrounded by the lush greens and the beautiful sky above. It is abundant in a kind of sand that is useful in constructing houses. The whole ride has never been boring because of the challenging path and the beautiful view we passed by! It was a perfect blend of adrenaline rush and awe-inspiring sceneries!

Behold! After amazing hours of exhilarating rides, we arrived at our destination, the Marmol Cliff!

The Marmol Cliff and its Beauty!

Aaaahhh!!!😍 It was B R E A T H T A K I N G! Before my eyes are the majestic Marmol Cliff.

IMG20240102095252.jpg

I couldn’t help but stare at how these amazing rocks/ boulders have formed into what it is now! The Marmol Cliff is a two Majestic Cliff facing each other with the passageway of the river in between them! It looks like an enchanting Grand Entrance to somewhere else.

IMG20240102095141.jpg

IMG20240102095056.jpg

These mighty rocks are smooth, clean, and lighter in color compared to the usual cliffs we had in our place. No wonder why locals called this Marmol Cliff because of its similarity to the feature of a Marble Stones.

With our raft driver.

I had my full admiration for how this amazing nature was made. If you stand beneath the rocks, you will see how majestic these cliffs are in size and breathtaking beauty! Huhu. My heart! I was imagining how these cliffs would perfectly fit with each other when closed!

IMG20240102094651.jpg

Though the length of the cliff is not that long walking through it is more than enough to transport you to another world. Haha., Especially if you will ride the bamboo raft prepared for everyone to cross the water.

IMG20240102100240.jpg

For tourists, the Marmol Cliff is a unique and most interesting wonder of nature here in the North but for locals, the Marmol Cliff serves as their vital passageway from their homes in the mountains going to the town and the markets.

IMG20240102095538.jpg

That’s why there is a bamboo raft there for locals to cross the river!

IMG20240102094417.jpg

Yes, the river appeared shallow but there is a part of the cliff and river that is more than 5 feet deep. The color of the water in this part is a darker green hue in contrast to the clear shallow areas.

IMG20240102094243.jpg

IMG20240102100251.jpg

Our group tried riding the Bamboo Raft to heighten our experience on the Marmol Cliff. And there I got to see and touch the rocks up close. While the raft was floating, I felt like I was surrounded with the giants! I couldn’t help but admire more of this nature. The whole setting I was in at the moment felt like a setting of some international movies I saw, and I got lost in the magic of the moment.

IMG20240102091722.jpg

IMG20240102094046.jpg

The whole sight is refreshing especially particularly that the cliff is covered with trees above! So below you will see the mighty and incredible rocks, and above you will see the lush trees covering the cliffs while they gracefully dance with the wind!

IMG20240102092331.jpg

IMG20240102095319.jpg

We stayed and lingered for quite some time because of the incredible nature before us. My eyes and soul were filled with brim and splendor of how beautiful Marmol Cliff is! We were wearing smiles and fulfillment as we made our way home. Thank you Marmol Cliff!

Yes, adventure is all about enjoying the bumpy ride because that makes the story a lot more fun to tell.

It is very funny, haha, how my eyes are always glued reading to see where you wrote Taraaa! You don't know how happy that makes me. I love the feeling it brings as it allows me to feel the emotions you may have felt exploring, and with pictures given, it made the feeling more natural and interesting.

I am glad you had fun as always. Thanks for sharing. Haha, I did write a post some minutes ago on the vacation I am having, and I can't wait to explore more places and share pictures, too.

Marmol cliff is very beautiful, being in a river and natural forest makes the cliff look even more spectacular, I also really like the clear river water and being able to ride a trail motorbike to go there is really very fun
