A SPOT WORTH THE STOP! | NIPA BEACH TABOGON!

Cheers to those spontaneous pauses at places that simply stole our gaze!

My love for exploring nature and the delightful surprises it unveils is what drives me to take random stops in every beautiful place I pass every time I’m on a road trip. I make it a point to hit the brakes (as if I drive) haha! whenever I encounter a beautiful spot— never want to miss the chance to be swept away by nature's wonders. I don’t know if you could relate to this, but It's my simple pleasure that turns out to be one of the sources of my fulfillment and energy to keep going. _{Char! Yeah, but no joke!}

So for today’s serendipitous discovery is the charming Nipa Beach Resort of Tabogon.🤗

I was in our town center for a very important transaction, and on my way back home I decided to take another route to treat my eyes for a different view even if it meant an extra round of commuting. I had this spontaneous urge to find a beautiful view for a walk. Since I had all the time in the world at that time, why not use it for a random stroll somewhere I’ve never been to which is just accessible along the way? As proven and tested, the joy of discovery is just a spontaneous detour away!

Now, despite passing by this beach countless times, the chance to stop and enjoy it never came my way, nor did I get to share its beauty with my family for a perfect beach day. It wasn't until my participation in the Suroy-suroy Sugbo event in our town that I discovered the hidden gem this beach truly is.

I would have not known that this beach is one of the pride of our town as this is located under one of the tallest hanging bridges in the Province of Cebu and this also marks the boundary between my town and Borbon. But aside from this, Nipa beach holds enchantments that captivate every beachgoer's heart.

So, Taraa! Let’s Go!

The weather was perfect when I stopped over on the bridge. From the top, I could see no people lurking on the beach below as it was a weekday. Perfect! Just the way I like it! I want to savor the serenity and soak in the beautiful view of the beach all by myself!

So I excitedly looked for the entrance and asked the gatekeeper if I could get in for a stroll. He was hesitant to allow me to enter the beach but with a sweet smile, I managed to convince him all I wanted was a leisurely stroll to refresh my senses. Thankfully he agreed, so I saved my 20pesos! Haha. Yeah. Entrance Fee is 20!

I was wrong when I initially thought that Nipa Beach Beach was simple like the other beach in town because no it's not. As I stood there, I realized it's like a slice of paradise that transports you to another country. Why did I say so? Coz I saw a blog here from an international user about a beach that is almost similar to Nipa Beach. From my vantage point it resembled a cove! A cove surrounded by lush greenery, with a white sand beach and charming cottages lining the beach. It’s amazing how a place in my own town can evoke the same awe as another country’s destination.

The bamboo fences lining the area added such a rustic touch to the whole view! My excitement surged as I couldn't wait to make my way down to the beach and witness firsthand the beauty that awaited below.

With everything getting so exciting, I knew I wouldn't regret this spontaneous stop, even if it meant chartering another Habal-habal/motorbike to reach the next town where I would ride another bus going home. I chuckled at the thought but I simply couldn't pass up the chance to see and savor the beauty of this beach

With excited feet, I hurriedly went down to check the place below. Though the overlooking view appeared more appealing to me , the beach resort beneath captured my attention with its serenity and simplicity.

I wasted no time and immediately took a stroll on the serene beach right away. There were only a few people on the beach swimming. I couldn't help but envy them as they were able to enjoy the beach for themselves.

While the sand on the shore wasn't the typical fine and white variety, it had a distinctive charm. From afar, it gleamed white, thanks to the scattered pebbles and tiny corals dotting the landscape. It was a different kind of beauty.

The alignment of bamboo cottages along the shore was a beauty to watch too. It added to the beach’s simplicity, offering a cozy retreat for beachgoers. Now, I can't help but regret not inquiring about the rental prices. But I think it’s very affordable.

Another aspect of Nipa Beach that I truly adore is the presence of small fishing boats lining the shore. As I often highlight in my blogs about beach visits and discoveries, these boats breathe life into the beach. For me the bustling activities of the fishermen on the shore add a vibrant energy, turning the beach into a lively and dynamic space.

I had an iincredible time and absorbed the beauty of everything Nipa Beach had to offer. This spontaneous stop of mine serves as yet another proof that it's in unplanned travels and unexpected stops where we can truly encounter the priceless beauty of nature, whether it's grand or seemingly small.
