Winter Blossoms in Monochrome / Flores de Invierno en Monocromo [Eng–Esp]

Hello, dear Black and White community!

went out for a walk with Kora, my pitbull and my friend, and thought about taking some pictures of her. But, unfortunately, the park was packed with tiny dogs, so, as always, we were left out. I already had my camera in hand, and to step out of my comfort zone, I decided to photograph the flowers in the park all the living nature around me. I started to flow with it and loved giving them that soft blur and focusing on the flowers and plants.

It was tricky to handle Kora with one hand and the camera with the other. I’m sure I kind of ruined her walk, but in the end, I was really happy with the results. When I converted the images to black and white, giving them my slightly dramatic style, I felt even more satisfied. I don’t know much about flowers to be able to describe each one, but it’s amazing how, even without their beautiful colors, they still manage to convey something peace.

These past days have been very difficult for me because winter feels so depressive, and as you know, I just got a tattoo. My best therapies are photography and the gym, but it’s been hard to move around lately. Still, I didn’t want to miss the chance to share today’s photographic adventure with you. I hope you enjoy it.

Hola querida comunidad en Blanco y Negro

Hoy salí de paseo con Kora, mi pitbull y mi compañera de aventuras. Llevaba la cámara conmigo con la intención de capturar algún momento especial, pero para mi mala suerte el parque estaba repleto de perros diminutos, y como casi siempre, terminamos sintiéndonos un poco fuera de lugar.

Aun así, decidí no guardar la cámara. Para salir de mi zona de confort, me propuse fotografiar las flores y la naturaleza viva que nos rodeaba. Fue un reto: una mano sujetando a Kora y la otra manejando la cámara. Probablemente arruiné un poco su paseo, pero yo quedé muy satisfecho con el resultado.

Me encantó jugar con el desenfoque y darles protagonismo a las flores y plantas. No sé mucho de especies para describirlas, pero lo increíble es que, incluso quitándoles sus colores y llevándolas a mi estilo en blanco y negro dramático, siguen transmitiendo algo profundo: paz.

Estos días de invierno han sido especialmente duros para mí. El frío y la falta de luz no ayudan, y después del tatuaje me ha sido difícil retomar mis rutinas en el gimnasio, que junto con la fotografía son mi terapia. Aun así, no quería dejar pasar la oportunidad de compartir esta pequeña aventura fotográfica con ustedes.

Espero que disfruten las imágenes tanto como yo disfruté el proceso de crearlas
