The Ravens of the Canyon 🖤

Hello dear Black and White community,

During one of my trips, I reached the Grand Canyon of Arizona.
I had never been so far in my life and I was super excited.
Not even the scorching heat could stop me from exploring every corner but that’s another story.

Here I wanted to show these peculiar and often demonized animals.
As the saying goes: “Raise ravens and they’ll peck your eyes out.”
When I saw them, I remembered movies like The Omen
and how cinema sometimes gives us a wrong perspective of these birds.

They can be aggressive, of course,
but all animals are territorial — even humans.

Lately, I’ve seen videos of people raising them;
they even talk and become surprisingly tame.
That truly amazed me,
and that’s why I wanted to share these photos
to show how majestic these birds really are,
with their deep black color, imposing size,
and that beak that, yes, could take your eye out.

Without further ado, I leave you these photographs,
wishing you all good vibes and positive energy. 🌿

Los cuervos del cañón 🖤

Hola querida comunidad en Blanco y Negro

En uno de mis viajes llegué al Gran Cañón de Arizona.
Nunca había llegado tan lejos en mi vida, y estaba súper emocionado.
Ni el calor infernal me detenía para recorrer cada rincón,
pero esa será otra historia.

Hoy quería mostrar a estos animales tan peculiares y satanizados.
Como dice el dicho: “Cría cuervos y te sacarán los ojos.”
Cuando los vi, recordé películas como La Profecía
y cómo a veces el cine nos da una perspectiva equivocada de un ave.

Pueden ser agresivos, claro,
pero todos los animales son territoriales — incluso los humanos.

Últimamente vi algunos videos de personas que los crían,
y hasta hablan y son súper domésticos.
Eso me sorprendió muchísimo,
y por eso recordé que debía subir estas fotos
para enseñar lo majestuosos que son estas aves:
su hermoso color negro, su tamaño imponente,
y ese pico que, claro, podría sacarte un ojo.

Sin más que decir, les dejo estas fotografías,
siempre deseándoles buenas vibras y energías a todos. 🌿
