The Faces of My Streets / Los Rostros de Mis Calles

The faces of my streets, my day-to-day life.
I went to renew an appointment I had missed, and while waiting, I started taking portraits of the people around me — everyone lost in their own world.

I can’t read minds, but you see everything: people in the shared vans, people at the bus stop, people standing in doorways doing nothing, people asking for help, people with disabilities… there’s always something happening.

It’s a heavy day. The sun is coming out and the city becomes intense. The buses have no air conditioning, and with almost 99% humidity, everything turns into steam — you cook like boiled chicken.
That’s Lima. My Lima.

Right now I’m using my bus ride to write this post, and I’m suffering with the heat.

I leave you with these faces, and I hope you all have a beautiful day.

Los Rostros de Mis Calles / The Faces of My Streets

Los rostros de mis calles, mi día a día.
Me fui a renovar una cita que perdí, y mientras esperaba me puse a sacar retratos a las personas que me rodeaban — todos en lo suyo, en sus propios mundos.

No puedo leer mentes, pero se ve de todo: la gente del móvil, la gente del paradero, los que están en la nada parados en sus puertas, personas pidiendo ayuda, personas con discapacidad… siempre hay algo.

Es un día pesado. Ya está saliendo el sol y la ciudad se pone intensa. Los buses no tienen aire, y con casi 99% de humedad todo se hace vapor — te cocinas como pollo hervido.
Es lo que toca. Mi Lima.

Justo estoy aprovechando mi viaje en bus para redactar este post, y estoy sufriendo con el calor.

Los dejo con estos rostros y espero que tengan un día hermoso.
