Hello friends of the community and Monochromes. Here I bring you one of the last posts of my Takanakuy documentary project. The material is practically finishing; I only have a couple of fights left and some loose photos that are very good and that I would like to share. Later on, I will be able to talk in depth about everything this festival has meant to me in every sense: culturally, professionally, and how much it has influenced me sentimentally.

On this occasion, I present the third to last male fight (I still have a women's fight pending to upload, which is also one of the best). In this bout, I loved the framing: the ronderos (local guards) acting as judges in the background and the fight right in the middle. I was also struck by the unique difference in age and weight between the contenders.

I noticed that as the event went on, I was connecting much more with the atmosphere. Although, to be honest, I also think I had drunk too much chicha de jora. That traditional drink is deceiving! Since I usually stick to my diet and don't really drink alcohol, I was already working a bit accelerated by the buzz. It hit me harder than I expected!

Hola, amigos de la comunidad y de Monochromes. Acá les traigo ya uno de los últimos posts de mi proyecto documental Takanakuy. Prácticamente se me terminó el material; me quedan las últimas peleas y algunas fotos sueltas que son muy buenas y que quisiera compartirles. Ya luego podré hablar a profundidad de todo lo que ha significado para mí esta fiesta en todo sentido: cultural, profesional y, por supuesto, lo mucho que ha influido sentimentalmente en mí.

En esta ocasión, les presento la antepenúltima pelea masculina (todavía tengo pendiente subir una pelea de chicas que también es de las mejores). En este combate me encantó el encuadre: los ronderos actuando como jueces en el fondo y la pelea justo al medio. También me llamó mucho la atención la diferencia única de edades y pesos entre los contendores.

Me di cuenta de que, conforme pasaba el evento, me iba conectando mucho más con la atmósfera. Aunque, para ser sincero, también creo que había tomado demasiada chicha de jora. Esa bebida es engañosa, y yo, que siempre cuido mi alimentación y no acostumbro a beber, estaba trabajando ya algo acelerado por el alcohol. ¡Me pegó peor de lo que esperaba!
