PISAC: THE ADRENALINE OF THE LENS

Closing the Pisac chapter, I find myself reflecting on how every step we take is a move toward fulfilling our dreams. Sometimes, anxiety wins in the moment. I get home and I’m not happy with the photographs I tookshooting wildly, my mind elsewhere, not focused on the task at hand. This happens to me in Cusco or places I enjoy deeply; I struggle to manage my emotions. It’s complex because when you land after so much mental adrenaline, that visual exhaustion takes over your senses. I hope soon to learn how to master that calm and give the best of myself. Today’s series features more photographs captured at the archaeological site of Pisac.

Photography is a mirror of our internal state. These images from Pisac represent that battle between the vastness of the empire and the search for my own creative peace.

Cerrando un poco Pisac, reflexiono que cada paso que damos es un avance a cumplir nuestros sueños. A veces me gana la ansiedad en el momento; llego a casa y no me quedo feliz con las fotografías que hice, disparando a lo loco, pensando mil cosas y no enfocado en lo que estoy haciendo. Eso me pasa en Cusco o en lugares que disfruto mucho; no puedo manejar mis emociones y es complejo, porque cuando aterrizas después de tanta adrenalina mental, ese desgaste visual se apodera de cada uno de tus sentidos. Espero pronto poder aprender a manejar la calma y dar lo mejor de mí. Lo de la serie de hoy son más fotografías que saqué en el sitio arqueológico de Pisac.

La fotografía es un espejo de nuestro estado interno. Estas imágenes de Pisac representan esa batalla entre la inmensidad del imperio y la búsqueda de mi propia paz creativa.
