Flamenco Under the Studio Lights – Part 2/ Flamenco Bajo las Luces de Estudio – Parte2 [Eng-Esp]

Second part of my flamenco light series, this time with a wardrobe change using the traditional sombrero cordobés, a beautiful accessory that adds presence and elegance to flamenco dancing.

For this session, I used a studio flash and a reflector, aiming for a Rembrandt and spot lighting setup. I believe it was the best decision because it gave me exactly the kind of drama I wanted. I love giving that touch to my photos and edits deep shadows, expressive faces, and strong emotion.

As always, I worked with Dani, who helps me flow much better. Shooting with her was a lot of fun she really gets into character. Honestly, she’s an artist at heart. She loves what she does, she loves to dance… Would you believe she’s also a dentist? I take her photos, she fixes my teeth. True teamwork.

She poses, and I focus on shooting and finding the best angles, playing with light. Like I mentioned in the first part, this was my first time working with studio flash photography. I’ve always found continuous light easier, but I received great feedback from my teachers. They really liked my work hopefully they’ll consider me for future jobs, haha.

Also, like every start of the month, I did my Hive Power Up to keep growing on the platform. Today I powered up 117 HIVE, continuing my steady commitment to this amazing community.
I feel happy combining my artistic growth with my consistency here. Publishing this flamenco series right after my Power Up is also a symbolic way of continuing to invest in what I’m passionate about.

¡Hola, querida comunidad Blanco y Negro!

Segunda parte de la edición de flamenca bajo la luz, esta vez con cambio de vestuario, usando el sombrero cordobés, un accesorio que aporta presencia y belleza al baile de las flamencas.

En esta ocasión usé un flash de estudio y un rebotador, buscando una iluminación tipo Rembrandt y spot. Creo que fue la mejor decisión, porque logré el dramatismo que quería transmitir. Me gusta entregar ese toque en mis fotos y ediciones: las sombras bien marcadas, las expresiones del rostro intensas, con fuerza.

Siempre conectando con Dani, que me hace fluir mucho mejor. Trabajar con ella fue muy divertido, se mete en su papel con total entrega. En realidad, es una artista: ama lo que hace, ama el baile… ¿me creerían si les digo que también es dentista? Yo le tomo fotos, ella me cuida los dientes. Trabajo en equipo.

Ella posa, y yo me concentro en disparar y encontrar los mejores ángulos, jugando con la luz. Como les comenté en la primera parte, este fue mi primer trabajo en fotografía de estudio con luz de flash. Siempre se me hizo más fácil trabajar con luz continua, pero recibí buenos comentarios de mis profesores. Les gustó mucho mi trabajo. Ojalá me tomen en cuenta para algunos trabajitos jejeje.

Además, como cada inicio de mes, decidí hacer mi Power Up en Hive para seguir creciendo dentro de la plataforma. Hoy convertí 117 HIVE en Hive Power, como parte de mi compromiso constante con esta comunidad.
Me siento feliz de combinar mi progreso artístico con mi constancia en esta plataforma. Publicar esta serie de flamenca justo después de hacer mi Power Up es también una forma simbólica de seguir apostando por lo que me apasiona.
