A Visit to the Miró Quesada Gallery — Discovering Martín Chambi

Not long ago, I went with Dani, my girlfriend, for a walk through the Miró Quesada Gallery in the Miraflores district. This gallery often presents photographic exhibitions from both Peruvian and international photographers.

This time, we found an exhibition dedicated to Martín Chambi, an iconic photographer from Puno — the city of great heights in Peru. He is one of the most important photographers in Latin America, and honestly, one of the greats of the world. A pioneer in portrait and documentary photography.

I invite you to discover a bit of his work.
While we were there, I took the chance to capture a few photos of Dani, since I had my camera with me.

Una Visita a la Galería Miró Quesada — Descubriendo a Martín Chambi

Hace poco fui con Dani, mi novia, a dar un paseo por la Galería Miró Quesada en el barrio de Miraflores. Esta galería siempre realiza exposiciones fotográficas de diferentes fotógrafos peruanos y extranjeros.

Esta vez nos encontramos con una exposición dedicada a Martín Chambi, un fotógrafo icónico puneño, de la ciudad de las alturas del Perú. Uno de los fotógrafos más importantes de Latinoamérica y, por qué no decirlo, del mundo. Un verdadero pionero en el retrato y la fotografía documental.

Los invito a descubrir un poco de su trabajo.
Aproveché que llevaba mi cámara y le tomé algunas fotos a Dani mientras recorríamos la galería.

Espero que esta serie sea de su agrado y que los motive a investigar más sobre Martín Chambi y su valioso legado fotográfico. 🌿
