Hello, my dear friends from the Black and White community.
Today I bring you a collection of symbolisms that define the essence of Cusco. From the Peruvian Hairless Dog peering out to social graffiti with powerful messages like "the land belongs to those who work it"—a truth that, unfortunately, remains unfulfilled.
The series captures the deep ironies of my country: the Ekeko, a symbol of luck and abundance, standing alongside the Christian Cross, a symbol of colonialism. It is a socially heavy day in Peru; we have just ousted another president. That makes ten presidents in ten years—one per year. It feels like a lottery where the winner becomes a millionaire while the country remains in pain.
Despite the political turmoil, I leave you with this series where art, symbols, and contrasts merge into a single story. I hope you enjoy it.

Hola mis queridos amigos de la comunidad Blanco y Negro.
Hoy les traigo una serie de simbolismos que son parte de la esencia de Cusco. El perro peruano calato asomándose, grafitis de contenido social con mensajes como "la tierra es para quien la trabaja"—una realidad que tristemente no se cumple.
La serie muestra las ironías de mi tierra: el Ekeko, símbolo de la buena suerte y la abundancia, junto a la Cruz Cristiana, símbolo del colonialismo. Hoy es un día cargado socialmente en mi país; acaban de sacar a un presidente más. Es el décimo en diez años; prácticamente un presidente por año que se gana la lotería y se vuelve millonario. Es una pena todo esto.
A pesar de la crisis, les dejo estas fotografías donde el arte, los símbolos y los contrastes se unen en un solo post. Espero que lo disfruten.
