Hello, my dear friends from the Black and White community.

I always went out with the fear that the rain would attack me. It wasn't about getting wet myself, but about my "baby"—my camera, of course. I was debuting a waterproof jacket I found at a second-hand market here in Cusco (a raw story for another time), but let's not get distracted. On this day, the sky began to thunder like a horror movie; the blue sky turned pitch black, and fear took over.

For someone from Lima, true rain doesn't exist; we call a simple drizzle "rain." When the downpour actually started, I took cover in a cafe with a beautiful balcony. Although it was crowded, I managed to capture the view. Businesses use these balconies to offer an admirable view of Cusco's beautiful stone streets. Everything is perfect. I began to play with the dark tones of the street, the reflections, and the umbrellas, and it resulted in this beautiful series.

Hola mis queridos amigos de la comunidad Blanco y Negro.

Siempre salía con miedo de que la lluvia me ataque. Más que mojarme yo, era por "la bebé", la cámara lógicamente. Estaba estrenando una casaca anti-lluvia que encontré en un mercado de segunditas aquí en Cusco (esa es otra historia cruda, pero no me desviaré). Ese día, el cielo empezó a tronar como en una película de terror; el azul se puso negro y el miedo se apoderó de mí.

Para un limeño, no existe la lluvia real; cuando cae una simple garúa, nosotros ya le llamamos lluvia. Cuando empezó el aguacero, me escondí en un café que tiene un balcón hermoso. Aunque estaba ocupado, igual logré captar las fotos. Los negocios usan estos balcones para tener una vista admirable de las hermosas calles de piedra de Cusco; todo es perfecto. Así que empecé a jugar con el tono oscuro de la calle, los reflejos y los paraguas, y terminó en esta hermosa serie.
