Hello, my dear friends from the Black and White community.

My trip to Cusco was a profound encounter with myself. Leaving my city—which I often find limiting and suffocating for my art—and returning to my natural habitat was beautiful. I stayed at the Black Llama hostel, where I met people from all over the world. My routine was disciplined: waking up at 6:00 AM, preparing my gear, and heading out to capture the streets. There were days I spent entirely in the historic center, squeezing every possible frame out of the city's pulse.

Currently, I am deep into studying masters like Alex Webb, Sebastião Salgado, Nijat Kazimov, and Daniel Arnold. I am specifically learning about documentary composition and layering. Webb is a genius at building a narrative within chaos; having three distinct layers in a single frame where each one is readable, yet all three unite to tell one story. That is exactly what I am chasing now.

Although today's series might not fully reflect that complexity yet, I use this space to document my daily evolution and my journey toward finding that perfect "layer" in my photography.

Hola mis queridos amigos de la comunidad Blanco y Negro.

Mi viaje a Cusco fue un encuentro conmigo mismo. Salir de mi ciudad, la cual a veces siento que me ata y me limita artísticamente, para reencontrarme con mi hábitat natural fue algo hermoso. Me quedé en el hostel Black Llama, donde conocí gente de muchísimos países, pero mi enfoque era claro: me despertaba a las 6:00 AM y salía a tomar fotos todo el día, aprovechando cada rincón del centro histórico.

Ahora mismo estoy estudiando a fotógrafos como Alex Webb, Salgado, Nijat Kazimov y Daniel Arnold. Estoy aprendiendo mucho sobre composición documental y el trabajo por capas. Webb es un maestro en cómo, dentro del caos, puede construir una narrativa tan interesante; me fascina esa técnica de tener tres capas de información una sobre otra, donde puedes leer cada una y las tres se unen en un mismo mensaje. Eso es lo que estoy buscando ahora.

Estoy separando fotos que quizás no encajan aún con esa narrativa técnica, pero en este espacio también trato de describir mi evolución fotográfica. Aquí les dejo mi serie de hoy, un paso más en este camino.
