Closing a Session – Portraits of Dani in Black and White/Cerrando una sesión – Retratos de Dani en blanco y negro [Eng-Esp]

Hello, dear Black and White community!

This post is a bit different, more personal. These are portraits of Dani, my partner, and they close a photo session we did some time ago. I had these images saved because I really liked them, but I didn’t want to overload the previous posts. So I decided to give them their own space here, as a proper ending to that session which meant a lot to me.

Dani didn’t just pose with great attitude, she was also there when I needed support the most. On those days when you doubt yourself, when you fall, or feel out of place, she pushed me to keep going. She encouraged me to hold on to my camera and keep doing what I love, helping me believe in myself again.

These photos aren’t just portraits to me. They are a way to say thank you. Thank you for being there, for putting up with me, for motivating me. And they’re also part of the process of reconnecting with the thing I love most.

I know there are new things coming, new sessions, new ideas. But this one needed to be closed from the heart.

Hola, querida comunidad Blanco y Negro!

Este post tiene un toque diferente, más personal. Son fotos de Dani, mi pareja, y cierran una sesión que hicimos hace un tiempo. Tenía estas imágenes guardadas porque me gustaban mucho, pero sentía que no quería saturar los posts anteriores. Así que decidí darles su espacio acá, como un cierre de esa sesión que fue tan especial.

Dani no solo posó con toda la actitud, también ha estado ahí cuando más necesitaba apoyo. En esos días en los que uno duda, se cae o se siente fuera de lugar, ella me empujó a seguir. Me animó a no soltar la cámara, a seguir dándole a lo que amo, sin tanta vuelta, a volver a creer en mí.

Estas fotos para mí no son solo retratos. Son una forma de decir gracias. Gracias por estar, por soportarme, por motivarme.

Sé que se vienen cosas nuevas, nuevas sesiones, nuevas ideas… Pero esta tenía que cerrarla así, de corazón.
