Walking through the streets, I always like to photograph the mamichas passing by or working day by day on their weaving, seeing how they manage to make their yarn, or walking in groups around the plaza. They wear their characteristic outfits: their polleras (layered skirts with Andean details to combat the cold), their hats to protect themselves from the sun, and their classic braids, since the altitude makes their hair straight over time.

I also came across a beautiful cat—I'll let you imagine the color—resting on a wheelbarrow. I tried to take some photos of it, but the owner of the cart arrived, and I couldn't finish the shoot the way I wanted. I still liked the results, so I'm leaving them here for you.

Caminando por las calles siempre me gusta fotografiar a las mamichas que pasan o están trabajando día a día en sus tejidos, observando cómo se las ingenian para hacer sus hilados, o caminan en grupo por la plaza. Llevan sus atuendos característicos: sus polleras (falda sobre falda con detalles andinos por el frío), sus sombreros para protegerse del sol y sus clásicas trenzas, ya que la altura hace que el pelo se vuelva lacio con el tiempo.

También me encontré con un gato hermoso —ustedes ya imaginen el color— que estaba sobre una carretilla. Traté de sacarle fotos, pero el dueño de la carreta llegó y no pude terminar la sesión como quería. Igual me gustaron los resultados y se las dejo por acá.
