A Long Night — The Desire to Be Reborn

Hello dear Black and White community,

In my series “A Long Night”, I experienced many emotions and explored how to convey them through photography.
How can you turn a song into images?

Throughout my posts, I’ve been including verses from a song by the great Chabuca Granda, one of the most remarkable Peruvian singer-songwriters and truly, one of the finest in the world.
Learning to translate the emotions of a lyric, of a melody, to interpret it as you feel it… that’s where the magic lies.

This time, the verse that accompanies me says:

The night should be
A long perfumed dawn, diaphanous and bluish,
a blanket embroidered with whispers and loves,
oh morning star, sleepless invader of my closed window.

That longing to be reborn, to find direction, to shine, to wake up.
Each of us writes our own story and must find a way to take off.
I try to do it through what I love the most: photography.

Una Larga Noche — El Deseo de Renacer

Hola querida comunidad en Blanco y Negro

En mi serie “Una Larga Noche” experimenté muchas emociones y busqué cómo transmitirlas a través de la fotografía.
¿Cómo transformar una canción en imágenes?

A lo largo de mis publicaciones he ido incluyendo estrofas de una canción de la gran Chabuca Granda, una de las más grandes cantautoras peruanas y por qué no decirlo, del mundo.
Aprender a trasladar las emociones de una letra, de unos acordes, interpretarla como tú la sientes… esa es la magia.

Esta vez, la estrofa que me acompaña dice así:

La noche debiera ser
Larga aurora perfumada, diáfana y azulada,
una sábana bordada de rumores y de amores,
oh estrella de la mañana, invasora desvelada de mi ventana cerrada.

Ese deseo de renacer, de encontrar el rumbo, de brillar, de despertar.
Cada uno escribe su historia y debe buscar despegar.
Yo trato de hacerlo con lo que me apasiona: la fotografía.

Espero que esta serie sea de su agrado.
Les deseo siempre lo mejor y les envío buenas energías y vibras positivas. 🌙✨
