Villa Miari Fulcis, known as Villa Modolo
Hello to all lovers of travel and beautiful places!
Today I wanted to share with you, a place that I had seen some time ago when I had taken a walk nearby, I'm talking about Villa Miari vulcis which is actually known as villa di modulo a beautiful historic residence a few kilometers from Belluno so right in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites.
But also because, many people think that most of the Venetian Villas are located in the province of Padua or in the province of Vicenza, this villa is one of the 15 villas, of 15 architectural examples that are present in the province of Belluno and therefore thanks to this example we understand that even in this province there are these beautiful historic residences.
Unfortunately I could not visit it inside, because during the week it is closed and it is possible to visit it inside only on weekends.
But I was able to take a walk in its beautiful park, and read some information signs that told me that the villa dates back to the seventh century and was built by the engineer Andrea Miari for Professor Fulcis who was a professor at the University of Padua and was basically one of the main promoters of the expansion of this villa because there was already a pre-existing structure from the 1600s.
Today the villa is used for weddings and exclusive events Thanks precisely for its very suggestive location and as I was telling you on the weekend it is possible to visit inside thanks to guides who make themselves available and who try to enhance it.
*As you can see from the other images that I shared, the villa is within a very quiet context in the Val Belluna surrounded by the mountains and the beautiful Dolomites. Among other things, right nearby there is also a beautiful horse breeding farm, which I had actually never seen.
I must say, that they are always very fascinated in front of these architectural beauties, which are rich in history and who knows how many things they have been able to see.
A pity as usual, that assets like these, are not valued enough because the opening only on weekends in my opinion is too little especially perhaps for tourists who come here during the week, but unfortunately in Italy it is often like this.
I hope that what I have shared here has been interesting, and I hope to share other interesting things in my next posts
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
