Hello friends, when I was in Turin with my husband, in addition to visiting the beautiful museums that I shared here, and which I recommend visiting if you pass by those parts, I discovered almost by chance a small baroque jewel in the historic center of Turin, these are discoveries made a bit at random but that you find very interesting, also because this place is not always open to the public.
we are talking about a chapel of merchants from Turin and of the pious Congregation of bankers, it was inaugurated in 1692 and as I was telling you it can be visited on certain days at certain times especially on Monday and Saturday afternoons while on Sunday morning they usually hold mass and therefore let's say it is partially visitable.

the current building was built in 1692 by Father Agostino Provana who was practically a Jesuit and is located practically next to the church of Santi Martiri, which I will perhaps talk to you about in a future post, but practically it was a place of worship but also a place for meetings linked a little to commercial activities including those of bankers and those with Merchants who were important professions. So they needed a place to pray but also to discuss the various things that were happening in the city.

I must say that I was very impressed by the various decorations that are there. In fact, you can really see that the interior was decorated in the Baroque style because there are frescoes and cloths dedicated to the Epiphany. In short, every artist who has passed through Turin has contributed to making this place more and more beautiful, making it more interesting and fortunately there is this group of volunteers who manage to preserve this for future generations.

It was a great discovery and I recommend you to see it if you have the chance, also because the entrance is completely free, there are these volunteers to whom you can leave a small offering but the entrance is free anyway, I liked it a lot more than anything else or I was impressed because However these frescoes and this decoration are already several years old but they are in excellent condition.

The acoustics are also perfect in this place, this is also evident from how well it was built, every now and then concerts are organised in fact there is a beautiful organ that was recently restored and is used every now and then. I hope that my photos you tell me were interesting and I hope that you can visit this place. I wish you all a good day.
