A Sunday in Venice!!!
if you have followed me in the posts that I have already published here, I am quite a museum nerd, so I took advantage of this Sunday. Since the first Sunday of the month you have free entry to state museums, I took the train and went to Venice to visit museums that I had never visited in my life. I thought I would find the world there and instead, let's say, there weren't that many people, it was quite liveable for being in Venice.
I must say that it is always a great emotion to come to Venice, it really feels like you are taking a leap into history, as if time has stopped, my first goal was to visit Palazzo Grimani, a state museum, a very beautiful house in Venice that belonged to the Grimani family, where you can visit all its architecture, and admire the most beautiful part of the house which is called the Tribuna, which you will most likely have seen in some photos on social media, however I will dedicate a specific post to this place because it is really worth the visit.
It's not a very big museum. You can go around it in about an hour, calmly as I usually do. I remind you that on the first Sunday of the month you can enter for free and you avoid paying the €15 ticket which could probably be seen as a bit excessive.
then finished visiting this museum, since I was right near Piazza San Marco, I went there because there was the possibility of visiting the National Archaeological Museum of Venice, another interesting museum that can always be visited for free on the first Sunday of the month. However, let's say I was not fully satisfied with this museum, where I found the exhibition a little dated, a little outdated. Unfortunately, the bad thing about museums in Italy is that they do not invest in innovation even if they are well frequented by tourists from all over the world.
but I will also talk to you about this museum in a separate post, let's say it's not that big. There are also interesting things that are worth seeing in my opinion, but it could certainly be much better because Venice really has so many stories to tell.
In the end I also had to go and visit the museum of oriental art, because it is very interesting because there are some collections of some Japanese armors but unfortunately it is located in a somewhat chaotic part of Venice so I did not have time to do it also because I already had the return train, it will certainly be the occasion to return also because there are many other things to see in Venice, unfortunately you can never see everything, I thank you for reading the post See you next time!!!
