I recently tasted Zubr Grand. I agree with you that it is a pretty good beer. I was a little worried that it would taste terrible. I still remember the times when "Přerov" was almost undrinkable :-)

I find it interesting as a lager that's hopped four times; it's quite bitter, but in a different way than IPAs.
Czech hops have a distinct herbal bitterness. IPAs use a different variety that tastes more like citrus. There are a lot of bioflavonoids in them and they give IPAs their specific flavor.
Yeah I know, most European hops have herbal bitternes, Slovenian too.
