It’s impossible to be able to get anything done without the help of those around us. No matter what we think, or how valuable we feel we are, for us to move from one state in life to another, we need the help of people. No one rises to the top on their own, they have those around them who help lift them up. And when you notice this fact about life, you find a whole lot of reasons to be thankful for those in your life.

Showing appreciation is not easy, because for you to do that, you’re admitting that what you got was not entirely by your power. And if that person had not helped out, you would not have gotten whatever it is with such ease. There will always be something to be thankful for, just as there will always be people in our lives for us to thank. Let us learn to always be appreciative, and be sure to give honor to whom it is due.

For me, 2023 was an eventful year, I’ll keep saying it. So much happened to me, and I learned so much as well. And of course, there are people who were really instrumental in all that. Because without their help and support, the year would have been a whole lot tougher than it was.

One of the first sets of people I’d thank is my family. They’ve always got my back, and no matter how bad things get I know that I can always count on them. Having people who trust you enough for you to make your own decisions is really a flex because until you’re forced into a situation where others have to decide for you, you’d have no idea just how much freedom you have when you make your own choices.

And then, I’d thank my close friends as well. Together since my ND days, and now in HND finals, we’re still soaring together. Thanks to them, it’s a bit easier to blend work and school because I know that on my own making it work would have been so much tougher. Having people who will make sure to remind you of assignments or tests, or who will make sure you come early to the exam halls… these are priceless.

They all seem tiny and little, but then until you experience the opposite, you won’t know the value of what such people bring to your life. There are people who fail and carry courses over just because they don’t have a reliable friend they can count on. They don’t have a friend who can remind them of an overdue assignment or a report to be submitted. Some people will not even have any idea that there are assignments or tests. So yeah, my friends deserve all the flowers I can give them.

My Hive family. Special thanks to all the friends I’ve made on here. This goes out to fellow moderators and all members as well. You all make sure that every day there is something new for me to learn. From reading posts to engaging, I’m in a better position than I was last year, and I know that Hive, and Hive Learners in particular, played a pivotal role in that.

There is so much I want to say concerning Hive and how it has helped my life, but all that deserves a separate post of its own, and it’ll come soonest. For now, I’ll just focus on saying thank you to those who deserve it!

I would also like to thank all the staff of IfeAdigo Publishing Company for their profound help in bringing my novel to life. From the editing to cover design and up until the book was published on Amazon and Selar, they were with me every step of the way. This is something I’ll be forever grateful for.

So many people to thank, and so many things to be grateful for. But I guess I’ll call it a wrap here. I can go on and on, but a thousand posts might not be enough, hehe! We all worked together to make 2023 great, so now let’s work together again to the best of our ability to make 2024 even greater as well. By this time next year, I want to have even more things to be grateful for.
