The Ruins of the Miramar Hotel (En/ Es)

Hello friends! In these december days, exactly on the 31st at night, I was enjoying the facilities of the Macuto promenade, located in the state of La Guaira, in Venezuela. While taking a walk along its boulevard, almost at the beginning of it, I came across the famous hotel Miramar, today, with its beautiful ruins; this hotel has a lot of history behind it. But let's go to my personal history with it, since I was a little girl, whenever I visited these beaches, I always came across this old hotel, I imagined aristocratic guests wandering around, seeing the beautiful beaches that are right in front of it or maybe some ghost that lived there came out to say hello, ha, ha, ha, ha.

As an adult, I saw its slow deterioration, although there have been several requests for its restoration, since it is a national heritage, but these have been forgotten. Its architecture is a combination of neoclassical and colonial touch, very spacious and with large windows and doors, which give access to a spectacular view, as it is located right in front of the sea. When I took these photos, I wanted to take many more of its interior, but access is forbidden to the public, after it was taken by evildoers in recent times and trying to preserve a little of what is left of it, they have fenced off the possible access to its interior.

So I had to make do with the photos I could take, almost by moonlight and from the angles I had at hand. Also, it gives the impression that at any moment an absent guest is going to show up to wish me a happy new year, ha, ha, ha, ha. As you can see, my imagination went beyond, just by placing myself in front of him. I hope you liked my little encounter with this old hotel. It was a pleasure to visit you, greetings!

¡Hola amigos! En estos días decembrinos, exactamente el 31 en la noche, me encontraba disfrutando de las instalaciones del paseo Macuto, ubicado en el estado La Guaira, en Venezuela. Estando dando una caminata por su bulevar, casi al comienzo de este, me encontré con el famoso hotel Miramar, hoy en día, con sus bellas ruinas; este hotel tiene tras de sí mucha historia. Pero vamos a mi historia personal con él, desde pequeña siempre que visitaba estas playas, me topaba con este viejo hotel, me imaginaba aristocráticos huéspedes deambulando por ahí, viendo las hermosas playas que están justo enfrente o que quizás algún fantasma que habitaba en él salía a saludar, ja, ja, ja.

Ya de adulta, fui viendo su lento deterioro, aunque se han hecho varias solicitudes para su restauración, ya que es un patrimonio nacional, pero estas han quedado en el olvido. Su arquitectura es una combinación entre neoclásica y un toque colonial, muy espacioso y con grandes ventanales y puertas, que dan acceso a una espectacular vista, ya que está ubicado justo al frente del mar. Al tomarle estas fotos, me quedé con las ganas de tomar muchas más de su interior, pero el acceso está vedado al público, luego de que fuese tomado por mal vivientes en los últimos tiempos y tratando de preservar un poco lo que queda de él, le han cercado los posibles accesos a su interior.

Así que tuve que conformarme con las fotos que le pude tomar, casi a la luz de luna y de los ángulos que tenía a mano. Asimismo, da la impresión de que en cualquier momento va a asomarse un ausente huésped a darme el feliz año nuevo, ja, ja, ja. Como ven mi imaginación, se fue más allá, tan solo con situarme frente de él. Espero que les haya gustado mi pequeño encuentro con este antiguo hotel. Fue un placer visitarles, ¡saludos!
