My Daily Blog 2026#258

[ENG] I’m continuing to completely disregard my Garmin—or more precisely, its doom-and-gloom recovery warnings. It would be a crime to waste such gorgeous weather, especially when a midday break offers the ultimate mental reset after putting in five solid hours at work. Even more so with another five-hour stretch still looming ahead.

[ENG] Just like yesterday, I kicked off from the sports complex intending to keep things strictly easy and conversational. I had zero ambitions of chasing personal bests or grinding myself down. As it turned out, my legs had entirely different plans. They took off right from the gun—an opening split of 5:45 min/km is hardly my typical warm-up pace, and I certainly didn't expect the average pace for the entire run to settle so close to that mark!

[ENG] According to Garmin, I ought to be on my deathbed, yet I turned around and shaved another 10 seconds per kilometer off yesterday's pace back-to-back. It’s pretty compelling proof that while wearables can be useful, tuning into your own body and trusting your internal gauges is what truly matters day in and day out.
