Las jest dobry na wszystko – zarówno wtedy, gdy szukamy cienia w upalne dni, jak i wtedy, gdy chcemy schronić się przed letnim deszczem. Jednak to, co zobaczyliśmy wczoraj podczas spaceru, mocno nas zaskoczyło i uświadomiło, że jesień już powoli puka do drzwi. Na ścieżkach leżał gęsty, liściasty kobierzec – efekt kilku tygodni ekstremalnych upałów, po których przyszły dwa dni ulewnego deszczu. Mokre liście nie szeleszczą jeszcze pod stopami, ale całość i tak wygląda zjawiskowo.
[ENG] The forest is good for everything—whether you're seeking shade on scorching days or taking shelter from a summer drizzle. Yet what we saw in the woods yesterday caught us off guard and served as a clear reminder that autumn is right around the corner. A dense carpet of leaves covered the paths—the direct result of weeks of extreme heat followed by two days of steady rain. The leaves are soaked, so they don't crunch underfoot just yet, but the whole scene looked absolutely stunning nonetheless.
Opady nieco pokrzyżowały mi plany, bo liczyłem na krótką przejażdżkę rowerową, lecz zanim zdążyłem się zebrać, okno pogodowe bezpowrotnie minęło. W tej sytuacji postanowiliśmy pojechać na spacer do lasu. Ostatecznie wyszło bardzo przyjemnie, a rower z pewnością uda się jeszcze wpleść w grafik w tym tygodniu.
[ENG] The rain threw a wrench into my plans, as I was hoping to squeeze in a quick bike ride, but by the time I got my act together, the weather window had already closed. That’s why we opted for a walk in the forest instead. It turned out to be a great alternative, and I'll definitely still find time to get on the bike later this week.
