My Daily Blog 2026#191

[ENG] Getting back to work after a vacation is never easy. Fortunately, I didn't have much catching up to do this time, as not much had been happening over the past three weeks. The holiday season is in full swing, so the workload is definitely lighter. The only thing that genuinely terrified me was the news that two of my colleagues had suffered pre-heart attack states due to the extreme heat. One of them was even rushed to the hospital by paramedics straight from his desk. Luckily, in both cases, it ended up being just a major scare followed by observation in the hospital. Still, it really gave me pause—there is absolutely no messing around with this kind of heat.

[ENG] When I went out for a run during my lunch break, I actively tried to seek out shade, which is much easier to find in the eastern section of the base. I figured I’d be running completely solo, but I crossed paths with a few other brave souls who seemed completely unfazed by the scorching weather. In a couple of spots, I ran straight into a headwind. For once, it didn’t bother me at all—in fact, I was thrilled to feel it, as it provided a brief, refreshing blast of cool air.
